I spend too much time complaining about Dwarf Fortress to actually play Dwarf Fortress.

Forum mode.

I played a lot of Fort mode, but after constant, inevitable FPS deaths I threw up my hands in frustration.


I don't think I've ever even tried Adventurer.

Object Testing Arena.

Let's say me and DF... We had our differences. But I just put them aside.

Okay, lately I've been playing too much Portal 2. But seriously, I think I play at least 30 min of Object Testing Arena for each 5 hours of Fortress Mode.

Fortress Mode.  Adventure mode never really interested me.  There are already lots of good roguelikes out there anyway.

Yeah, but the combat in DF is much more interesting. "You hit the lizard with your Sword. It takes 4 damage." gets kinda old after a while.

Fortress mode.  I've never actually tried adventurer, though the teasers for this update are rather tempting.

Adventure mode! Nothing like quite like jamming the right hand, fifth finger bone through the right hand, shattering the bone!

FPS death does get annoying after awhile.  I try adventure mode now and again, always end up dying horrifically before getting anywhere important.  And for Drunk Fortress, truly that was an epic experience.

I doubt that, since I'm AFK most of the day and I still have less than 60 days :P
