Rocks, rocks, and more rocks (Planepacked II in the Making)
« on: September 23, 2012, 12:41:58 am »

Maybe.

About two hours ago, a kid got a Stonecrafting mood just as a HUGE (40 goblins plus critters and Lawgiver) siege hit.  Most of my dorfs died wiping them out, and this kid is STILL gathering rocks of various kinds, including gold nuggets.  He has eight pages of rocks so far and shows no signs of stopping.

I'm wiped out, but when I get up tomorrow I'll start up DF and if the kid finishes before the fort falls apart (I have 5 adults about 25 kids or so) I'll post the results.

Sounds like you have the planepacked bug. The kid won't stop until you remove him from the burrow you have him assigned to (includes alert burrows IIRC, and I believe you can also simply include the workshop in the burrow to stop the bug as well). Basically the problem is that because the workshop isn't in his assigned burrow, anything he gathers doesn't "count" for the purposes of gathering it.

Pretty much.  Now the little shit is just standing there demanding cloth/thread--of which I have ALL sorts available.  He's going to fail the mood.

By the way, I care, and your opinion doesn't matter :P

ETA--He's gathering again, most of the items are no longer assigned to TSK, so it won't be as interesting as I thought.  False alarm, I guess.

It's a mug, with at least six images of itself on it.

Nothing to see here :P

Still got an appraiser to check its value with?

Also, does it have a name?

Yup I do, and it does:

Akgoslar, Clinchmet.  Value:  649,200 dorfbucks.

I'll get around to doing screens later tonight.

Mind I think Mugception is a far better name :D
