Carveola Incident: A WWI zombie RTD - Turn 1
« on: September 22, 2012, 06:17:20 pm »

The year is 1915, and three necromancers have invaded the world at Carveola, Sweden*. They opened a small wormhole and have spread to three locations, detailed later. The point is we hired you, a member of an elite military squad, and you must destroy these necromancers before we are destroyed by them.

Welcome to HQ, AKA that place you go to before every mission. Here you will purchase weaponry, soldiers, and equipment. I will post the aromory and such in a later post, which will then be copied here.

Spoiler: Character Sheet (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Waitlist (click to show/hide)

So yeah, I played The Carveola Incident recently and decided to make an RTD semi-based off it. Rules will be standard, nothing special so far.

*Carveola, Sweden is a fictional location

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Zombies?
In in in 1000 times in.
And just so its completely obvious.

IN

Name : Gunny Damion Monrow. ( A.K.A The Ghost )
Age : 27
Nationality : British.
Specialty : Sniping , Silent kills.
Inventory : Lee-Enfield Rifle , Attached pattern 1918 3x zoom Telescope.
Bio : A sneaky little sniper who after half a dozen missions and dozens of kills decided he hated the scorn of normal soldier's because he did not fight fairly. So he dedicated all of he's spare time to learning how to use he's hands and a silenced pistol to drop he's targets without them or anybody else knowing. ( Much more fair huh ) He had exceptional eye sight from the day he was born and during training had excelled at moving without being noticed to the point where even he's instructors could not find a reason to fault him.
Much to there anger at being forced to admit he's arrogance in training was justified.

I should state that small additions to your standard rifle are fine, such as scopes, bayonet, etc. Also, remember this is WWI, so your standard rifle will be something like a Springfield 1903, a SMLE, or a Kar98 as examples. Also, vehicles can be stolen/bought, so a character with skills on driving/flying might usefull later on.

Name: Derrick Green
Age: 23
Nationality: American
Specialty: Trench Fighting, Melee Combat ((By this I mean close-range combat and actual melee combat, respectively.))
Inventory: Trench Spike, Knife, rifle (with bayonet)
Bio: Having joined the army but a year ago as part of one of the many massive recruiting drives, Derrick soon found he had a knack for surviving the run across no-man's land. As a direct result of this, he became very good at fighting in trenches, whether it was with a trench gun, a trench spike, or something else entirely. He soon gained notice within the ranks, often being referred to as 'Trench Demon', and won enough local renown to be selected for this mission.

Name: Andre Bayrakdarian
Age: 19
Nationality: Armenian
Specialties: Medicine, Stealth
Inventory: Empty
Bio: Andre was a medical student when the Armenian genocide happened. He fled to mainland Europe, incorrectly guessing that the war in Europe would be less bad than the situation back home. After losing a leg in the trenches (due to seeing it as better than the neighboring areas), Andre decided to try and find work nearby. He made his way to Sweden and ended up...well, here, hobbling around on a crude prosthetic leg and combining his talents to try and earn a decent fortune, so he can retire.

Why not? It's good to have  a few downsides. Just like GURPS.

Looks fun, save me a spot.

I thought the Mp 18 was a German submachinegun? I realize people could have looted them, but still.
