Now doing Lemon10's gladiators vs Dire Wolf and two other wolves.
It started out fairly well, with Bok running up to the wolves, intending to hit the dire wolf with his axe. However, he almost fell over a low wall, causing the attack to only inflict a minor wound. The Dire Wolf sees his chance, and strikes. Luckily, the Dwarf's armor glances most of the blow. One of the normal wolves, however, sees a weak spot and hits Bok spot-on. It seems a superficial wound, and the Dwarf can continue fighting. Tok uses his flamethrower spell, dealing a bit of damage, but not much to all the wolves. The wolves are still fresh, and Bok seems to have more trouble with the wound than originally thought. The crowd, however, is going wild at the sight of blood.
The Dire Wolf and Bok seem to stare at each other for a split second, and Bok charges in. He goes for a full body hit on the wolf, and the wolf takes the blow, being severely wounded in the process. However, it retaliates with it's own attack, but the attack is blocked by Bok's Bronze shield. Another wolf sees the opportunity to flank Bok, but Bok slashes his axe at it, instantly splitting it in two near equal parts! The other wolf, however, can strike, and Bok gains another wound. With Bok bleeding severely, Tok sees the opportunity to fire a fireball, scorching the Dire Wolf. The crowd is still cheering as loud as before, but that didn't distract Bok. He hew his axe at the Dire wolf, easily killing it. However, his axe got stuck in the dead Dire Wolf. The last remaining wolf jumps onto Bok, going for a killing bite. Just in the nick of time, it is shot off by a fireball, which made it fly away for a little bit, but the wolf lands on his feet. Bok seems to be bleeding even heavier, and retreats a bit to a safer distance. While still being able to protect Tok, if need be, he wouldn't be targeted by the wolf anymore. Tok takes a slight scratch from the wolf, but then incinerates it with a well-aimed fire blast. The first official victory belongs to BOK AND TOK!
Once they are back at their personal baracks, there is a bag with 100 golden coins, delivered by the Imperial Courier Service. Inside of it is a note, reading as follows:
Well fought, young gladiators. Rest for a while, a doctor will be in your barracks soon to patch you up. You entertained the crowd well. Use this money as you desire.
-Remus Gladus, Arena Overseer.
About the one-hit kill thing at the wolves, I rolled a twenty at dodging, and if that happens, I throw a d10 to determine damage, regardless of armor etc. You rolled a ten, which is then an insta-kill.
