Sanya and Thranduil lined up behind Nikolai and Celeborn for the Special fight. As the goblins charged in, both Sanya and Thranduil started attacking. Thranduil, accurate with his bow because of his woodland training, was the only one to hit with his arrow. Sanya seemingly has problems with her flamethrower spell, unable to conjure it or barely strong enough to form the feared cone of flames. It lightly wounds one of the goblins. Nikolai and Celeborn are in for a real fight, as four fully healthy goblins charge at them. Nikolai takes some minor hits, but Celeborn uses his Elven agility to dodge most of the attacks, getting only flesh wounds. The goblin warchief, however, is an opponent that should not be underestimated, and that seems what the gladiators are doing. Nikolai deals some hits here and there, just like Celeborn, but they don't quite manage to get the kill. Sanya and Thranduil are doing their best, but Thranduil only has about ten arrows left! Sanya seems exhausted from the use of magic, and has to rest for a little bit. The goblins use this to their advantage and two of them start flanking Nikolai and Celeborn. Nikolai is the only one who notices, and manages to critically wound the flanking goblin. FIRST BLOOD for Nikolai! Thranduil shoots his last arrow at the goblin warleader, right in the armpit, where there's no armor. Thranduil rushes to the Reserves, and gets a new, full quiver. Sanya is back on her feet, and manages to conjure an immense cone of fire, killing another goblin. Both Celeborn and Nikolai are lightly wounded now, but keep on fighting. The Warleader sees an opening in Celeborns defence and... Celeborn is down. The Warleader manages to stick his spear into his stomach, and the goblin fighting Celeborn chopped his head clean off. Thranduil, enraged by this, fires two arrows in quick succession at the goblin that killed his brother. They hit the goblin, right in the eyes. Nikolai knocks the warleader down, and starts tearing off bits of flesh and armor. The Warleader desperately grabs his spear, in an attempt to impale Nikolai. Nikolai, however, sees this attempt, and breaks the spear. However, the last remaining goblin manages to stab Nikolai in the back. Nikolai falls onto the warleader, his claws piercing the greenskin's hearth. Sanya, enraged by this, unleashes her full fury onto the goblin, conjuring a tornado of flames, burning the goblin to cinders. The gladiators have won, albeit closely. Acolytes of Armok come onto the field, quickly performing the Rites of Ressurection on both the gladiators and the remaining goblins. After the fight, the Warleader steps towards the party, his hand forward. "Well fought, lightskins. I hope we'll meet again soon!"
OOC: You can RP your reaction to the goblin, or just simply ignore him. It's up to you.
Mesor gains 200 gold, for two participating gladiators. Tsuchigumo gains 300 gold, for the kill and two participating gladiators.
The two lions, two males, stand in front of the two gladiators. Ishar and Sir look eachother in the eyes again, nodding slightly. They charge at the lions, their swords held high. The lions seem to wait until the two gladiators are close, and both jump onto Sir. Sir manages to dodge one, but gets jumped on the back by another. He gets dragged down to the ground, as he gets bit multiple times. In exchange for these bites however, Sir stabs the lion repeatedly, wherever he can hit them. Ishar is near him quickly, and throws himself against the lion, getting him off Sir. Sir is wounded, but continues. Sir waits for the lion to come close, and when it jumps, stabs it in the underbelly. The lion, however, still has some speed left, and knocks Sir over. Their Dire Wolf, while afraid earlier, sees his master in danger and comes to help the wounded veteran. The lion quickly dies to both stabbings and bites, but manages to stay on Sir, nearly crushing and suffocating him. Ishar, fighting his own lion, sees no opportunity to help Sir get the lion off him. Sir suffocates, and has been slain. The Dire Wolf sees Sir's demise, and runs towards Ishar to help him. Ishar, being a bit distracted by the Dire Wolf running past, gets hit by one of the lion's bites. His leg is bleeding heavily, and it collapses underneath him. Quickly after, the Dire Wolf has been slain by the Lion, and Ishar sees the Lion come in for the kill. He faints, and everything after is a haze.
A day after the fight, Ishar wakes up in the Arena's hospital, his leg bandaged up. He quickly calls one of the nurses to him to ask what happened.
"What happened?" she asked. "Oh, you mean your fight! Well, the lion was going to kill you, but the Arena mages interfered. However, your companion... What was his name?"
"Sir." Ishar quickly replied.
"Sir? Ah, yes, that guy that kept insisting on being called Sir... Well, he suffocated under a lion's corpse. He was heavily wounded, so he couldn't have moved it... Well, if you want him back, you could consult the Accolytes of Armok, but if I were you, I'd do it quickly. Decay and all that..."
Ishar is heavily wounded and starts the next fight with a disadvantage to dodging.
