By THIS, I mean...

Collecting enemy skulls/bones/whatever and carry them around as trophies? (or store in your stockpile)
I know it sounds pretty unpretty, but...

Teeth.  I toss them at people when sneaking.  And sometime whole corpses.

I took trunk from lumbering troll, a pestle, mortal and lead ledle from his/her lair.
I made helmet from sauropod the Desert Titan's bones.
I kick out dead monsters from their lairs.

Of course. i gather any Awesome skulls i can find, in hopes that a bonecarving Artifact maker will make a throne out of them. You know. Blood for the Blood god, Skulls for the Skull throne.

If I'm using certain mods, I like to make boots and capes out of any exotic creatures I encounter.

I keep them at my desk with jolly ranchers in them so people don't feel too awkward getting something from me or chatting about last night's televised sporting event.

I carry skulls. Then I throw them at people. If my target has some interesting piece of anatomy, I carry it also.

I work for a human fortress. I gather the corpses of my tasked kills up in the highest floor, the 'graveyard', sometimes I just put the skulls or heart or delicious Roc meat.

One of my most successful adventurers once spent what seemed like eons traversing an entire mountain range the hard way. Racked up over 260 giant eagle kills along the way, with a Giant eagle feather for each and every one.

I butcher each butcherable opponent I murder and eat their hearts. For the others I'll take a tooth, as the skulls are a bit weightier. If I could cut off ears (and wear them on a necklace) I'd be the happiest man around.

I have a totem stockpile tracking all the beasts I've slayed in my current fortress.

Stockpiling goblin bits and pieces outside my fortress walls was looking too papercut and neat, so I came up with a nice system of dumping them onto a bridge and then catapulting them out. For added effect, I put statues of dwarves in menacing poses or of dwarves striking down goblins with the goblin bits.

I'm still waiting for the ability to display goblin heads on pikes.
