for animating corpses, etc.?

take your refuse pile, toss it down into a pit, seal te pit. Necromancers range: Doesnt matter ;)

In examples they have range set to 10, I'm inclined to believe that procedurally "generated" necros have the same.

Or wall around it and slap a door on it.  Or, my preference, make it a dump down into the magma layer.  Works fairly instantly for (d)umping zombie corpses as well.
