I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but, I don't understand adventure mode... I mean I get it, but the controls confuse me. Well the quest system really. I don't understand the map and fast travel. That is what normally makes me rage quit.

You might want to check out the adventure mode quickstart quide on the wiki. Also while this is the forum for questions about the game, generally people in the adventure mode board are more knowledgeable about adventure mode questions.

The quickstart guide is a good place to get started.
Once you get the hang of it, it is not that hard. You'll still probably die countless times, but not because of the controls.
