I like the bit about drones. thats one of the things that confuses me. with a choice between a small, noisy, relativity easy to hit non-wrong ranged thing and a infinite range, high altitude, much harder to hit and nearly invisible i wonder why we chose the less useful option.

Because we are much more heavily armed and armored. Don't fret. We can work it later if not now.
Talking about RL...
i agree with you in the game.

We do use them. Often. There is just stigma because they are costly and people believe there is a cost behind removing the human element from a war zone. It makes the threshold to commit abhorent actions much much larger.

Off topic. 2 for it. When ebbor gives me the new numbers I will have our end receipt.

No. We don't. No more of this discussion. There are multiple types, they are all pricey.

I kinda dislike the idea of PC AI. Why? Much more power than any other character. And AI is plot important... Same goes for the combat captain I look for.

Suggestion:
Buy 40 regular spacesuits (200 isn't a high price for the safety of the cre) And whatever weaons other desire up to further 400, leaving some credits for the emergences

Diana spent her time among the drinking crew and other visitors of the bar, looking for some specific crew roles. She hoped to find a captain with military experience that will lead them in battles. So far they had a direct democracy on the ship, and it's worked. But they, being nothing than former scavengers, lacked a commander with proper skills and experience for the battles. She looked for the right person, who would give good commands in combat and in combat only.
Also she got quite interested in the merchant and spent good twenty minutes  with him, asking about what happened

I note that this commander, IMO, should be totally a NPC controlled by the suggestion and his power  limited only to combat situations. He should be more an assistant and military advisor than a captain.

With AI and other computers we do need a coder.

Hmm. You might be right about that one. I probably drove about half of the plot of Firestar behind you're back through private messages with the GM.

I'd be happy to be the tech guy, if ebbor wants to keep control of the AI. He's probably better at doing this AI peculiar "voice" anyway.

Sorry, for a moment there I forgot we were all psychopaths.

I just found this thread! A Firestar reboot! Yes please! Can I be the AI again? I promise not to betray everyone as much this time... unless the plot requires it... like it did last time :p

Then again, it seems like ebbor might have plans for this guy, so do you not want it to be a player character?
Actually, I have no problems with someone taking over the AI, but it is quite important for certain minor plot points. It would mean I'd have to write out it's backstory some more and such. It's also a more limited player position.

((Oh, and the reason for the AI's strangish behaviour is because it's determined by a couple of dicethrows))

get an ion grenade launcher and stun rods for the whole of the away team. That way we can disable non kinetic arms and machinery and also take prisoners more easily. These shouldn't be particularly costly. Do the grenade launcher come in rifle attachments or as a seperate weapon altogether? Do you have general fragmentation grenades?

Ebbor, I need these things before we continue. After that, if they are reasonable, purchase (I will make a revised list) and I think we are good.

Spoiler: Purchases (click to show/hide)

Shia upon overseeing the return of the new armor and weapons to the ship calls her crew down to the cargo bay to issue the new suits and see who gets one of the grenade launchers, and which two from her team get an attachment. A couple more hours are spent taking these weapons apart and learning how to clean them, seeing as they are new to everyone. The remaining supplies and grenades are placed into two crates, one locked containing the grenades, the other containing the suits, patches, and launchers for Domas' team.
