Plague, refugees, spaceliner and a FTL travel system that allows you to jump without using established route does not sound like something that mix all that well, at least to me.

Crawler drones are mostly remotely controlled.

Actually, each jumpdrive capable ship can jump without a beacon. It's just not safe or accurate. Calculation can take several weeks if you want to end up in one piece.

+1 to sending in the crawler drone to turn off the reactor.
We could send in the salvage team once it's off - should be safer.
And possibly we might get limited scans in.

New idea for interesting life. Let's all decide on 1 to 2 positions we would like to attain within our ship (no captain). Just one thing that we have to keep charge of but still ask for suggestions regarding if it needs to change and also is in charge of making sure that it's condition is squared away and also improved when possible. That way we can have a little competition and infighting for our groups. ("I'm telling you, we can't buy that new scanning system. We need a new fuel disperser for the engines!" "Are you crazy? This isn't some damned hot rod you had back planet side. We need to know what's out there!" Etc.)

If anyone want's the same two positions it's up for negotiation/ vote from the rest of the crew.

Is this a good idea? This way if it is some nonchalant suggestion with no real problems or disagreement it wouldn't need a bunch of +1s behind it.

PS:Don't let this suggestion detract from the fight at hand.

You claimed EVA leader or something. I assumed that was the enlisted side so I took a more officer route. You can lead though. Direct tactics and the like. Either way it was my idea and I pretty much snagged it right away. Just sayin'.
