Uhm, scrap. And tools. The better your tools, the better your results. Molds and blueprints might be nice too.
Do tools disappear after being used? How exactly do molds, blueprints and HQ tools affect quality of ammo and how how quality of ammo affect the quality of dakka?

You try and see what you could sell. The shuttle would probably sell for a decent amount of money. After a bit of asking around, the best offer you get is about 1000 credits. Which is quite a bit less than what it's worth, but apperently the best you're going to get. The missile launchers might sell for quite a bit, but are unfortunately classified as restricted military material, preventing you from selling them without special license. The plasma corvette gun, remarkably, is not. The best price you could get for it here is 635 credits, which is less than it's worth, about 825 credits.

Meanwhile, a few others are trying to get the ship registered. The officer who handles the documents seems tired, and not very happy to see you here. After a short talk all the forms have been filled in, and know you only need to wait for the bureacratic machinery to do it's work. Untill then, you shouldn't leave this sections jurisdiction, though fortunately it carries quite far. The officer leaves you as soon as he's able, muttering something among the likes of: "Bloody mercs, think they can solve everything."

Searching for fighter pilots proves problematic. Galven III is kind of a backwater station, and never sees much action. The only fighters in the station are merchant escorts, and some law enforcement ships. You'd doubt you'd find a fighter pilots for hire here. You have only been here for about half an hour, when suddenly a large part of the law enforcement ships makes  for a hasty departure. You wonder what could be going on?

Idea: retrofit drone railguns (fighter sized?) onto lamprey?

As long as you use them correctly, they shouldn't. The tools and stuff add a modifier to the production roll, while ammo quality adds a modifier to the damage/ targetting roll.

I think we should buy avalanched tools and try do as many repairs as we can using our own hull plates and our own engineers.

Also we need a price for shuttle, plasma and missile launchers, selling it to get some cash is a good idea

And we do need to search for fighter pilots for hire, our carrier capability is one of our main advantages

Added info to the turn above. Still need to do the registry talk.

Yes to the fighter pilots and selling the plasma, but why sell the missile launchers? especially if we're just about to escort some merchants through a pirate danger-zone.

Because I see no real benefit of 4 launchers over 2, especially if we have only 4 missiles. 4 missiles in one shot may be useful in big fights when you need to shot volleys to enemy capital ships.  But as we can't sell them anyway it's a pointless discussion...

I'd say that shuttle for 1000 credits is too cheap,  but selling plasma is fine for me, 1625 credits may allow us repair more

And first things first, we should find anyone who is responsible for registering ships, it's quite possible that we'll need to pay some fee and\or bribe, then we may return to shopping

So just sell the plasma cannon then?

I'd suggest patching the patches with our military-grade hull plating first, than teladine. With or without the engineer's services.
How large is the jurisdiction exactly? Specifically, will we be able to do the merchant escort without leaving it?

Caaaan we pleeeease get the weights (or rather, considering we're in space, volumes) of stuff in cargo bays?

Also I disagree with selling plasma cannon. More weapons can't be a bad thing.

We need money for repairs, if we repair at least main engine (and I think it's essential) we'll waste almost all our budget

Besides I want to build ship around mobility and long range, it's what cruisers are about

1. We also need at least one reactor repaired.
2. How can the cargo shuttle carry more cargo than the entirety of the Salvation's cargo bays?

Be being made for cargo transferring I think... Military cruises aren't designed to have cargo. Some personal weapons, some supplies some spare parts that's all that is needed
