2) Oooh. Can you please put it in another spoiler on regular turn updates?

14) Do you mean that in an era when we can find a (barely, but still) functioning spaceship in a scrapyard weapons still don't come with installed targeting systems inside, even though they have it RIGHT NOW (torpedoes, missiles, that thingy where artillery fires three volleys and they hit the target simultaneously)?

15) Still. Something tells me that, for example, patches on rooms with important systems that are located at the edge of the ship are somehow more important than empty storage rooms.

14) Your railguns employ strong magnetic fields, and would fry all non hardened electronics. Since those are expensive, they have been dropped away in favour of a central firing computer. The lasers also operate on the same centralized principle, to allow it to better tie into the central pilot AI and targetting sensors. Also, it's a bit easier to repair a faulty component in the central computer than one that's directly integrated in the weapon, which for the most part isn't accesible from the inside.

I thin we really should consider selling

1) the shuttle
2) 2 missile launchers
3) corvette plasma
4) DO NOT try to sell drone parts

Diana will look for fighter pilots with their own fighters for hire

Yes. Plus let's see how much we can get for each and then try to repair the ship as best we can. Us the excuse "We have a doctor on board, we just needed to repair our medical facilities to treat our wounded. Nothing so life threatening as to need a full fledged hospital, fortunately."

If we have any left over let's fully repair our weapons and all that and get this bad boy in working condition. Shia and maybe another should work on getting our ship registered and licensed.

After that let's snag a job. That way we can come back and load up on that circuit fabricater and advanced tools so our techie can start whipping up some nasty weapons systems/hacking tools and the like. Plus the jobs will build our rapport with this station.

We should also save the military grade hull plating. Maybe we could whip up a better drone out of the one we cut up. In that case what do you guys think about keeping the plasma weapon for done use. That way it can do some damage, take some damage, and draw fire while we fire at critical systems.

Sell or keep?

I think escorting merchant is a better job for the first mission

Mmm. Yeah actually that's true. I keep forgetting what state we are in.

The station is found in an unexplored sector, several jumps away. It's a research station, though it's purpose hasn't been made clear. You're to go there, and see why they haven't send a message. If there are problems, you are to try and help them.

Rather simple, escort a merchant towards it's destination, a trading station 2 jumps away. No info on what the merchant carries, though it is noted that it has 2 PD turrets.

Merchant escort, definitely.

What do we need to create railgun ammo out of scrap? And what is PD?

Uhm, scrap. And tools. The better your tools, the better your results. Molds and blueprints might be nice too.

PD is short for Point Defense turrets. Ie missile and fighter defense.

Yes, this is probably the best plan. One thing though: I disagree with selling the shuttle. It could be very useful.
I dislike the idea of selling the missile launchers as well
