Claim us to be a pirate hunting company and that we boarded this ship in combat. Now we are heading to the trade hub to register the vessel as a deserved trophy

If this don't work - offer a bribe

My pick. Also, if we get to the hub see if anyone is selling reactor parts Promtho does not what to make his job harder later.

Let's just Identify ourselves, then explain only if asked. Never answer a question that hasn't been asked, or it will look suspicious.

"Flight control, this is Salvation, requesting permission to dock for resupply and repairs, over"

This (my suggestion was only a joke).  Maybe we can claim to have some injured aboard, and get some free pity too?

No, no we should say about wounded it's easy to check.

BTW how much living quarters do we have? Is 30 men crew adequate for the cruiser?

Diana will try to tell believable story to flight control about glorious assault on the pirate cruiser. Use all feminine powers, cry a bit mourning fallen comrades [/i]

Well now, I'm assuming Mr. PHD and me can find some kind of way to make someone look injured.  I can also think of some people it might be a good idea to whack in the face.  :D

You maintain your course, and respond."Flight control, this is Salvation, requesting permission to dock for resupply and repairs, over".
The Flight control seems to muse a bit on this, but finally responds: "We got no logs on your ship. I presume this is the first time you enter this sector. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you some questions. Normally we'd get updated logs from the central administration every week, but those have been scarce as off lately."

At this point Diana takes over, and after a few minutes you get docking permission. The attentive employee also informed you that the station does have a fully equiped hospital, but that for anything save a live threatening injury you'd have to pay to get acces. He did however note that you should check with the local station authorities to get the ship properly registered.

As you slowly drift towards one the stations internal docking ports(The station is a repurposed shipyard, hence it's size) you do note that you're tracked by several of the stations defense turrets. Seems like they don't entirely trust you after all. The rest of the docking procedure completes without accidents and soon you find yourself walking on the inside of the station. And elderly engineer walks up to you, and says:"Bloody well haven't seen a ship like that in ages. Nor a ship in such a bad state. I'm pretty sure we can patch some stuff up for you, but it's going to be costly."

You leave some crewmembers behind to discuss possible repairs, then make your way to the outer parts of the station, where most of the traders operate, since it's the only section with decent gravity. After a few discussions, you find that the following list of things is availble at the station, but you could look for specifics, of course.

Dariush: In case you haven't noticed, 10ebbor10 is running 3 GAMES AT ONCE. I would probably have trouble with just 1. I think he deserves a bit more respect.
...Did you really think that my 'the mods these days' post was serious?

Also, since it's been like 30 hours without a single complaint from me, have an extra large dose:

1) Does the 'replace patches' cost mean a single patch or all patches? Does it include the cost of replacement material? If yes/no, inquire about the cost without/with buying the replacement material.

2) How is fuel usage calculated?

3) What exactly do 'structural fixes' do?

4) Which resources are we going to need for fixing each component on the ship manually? (type and amount per component, not total)

5) Can you please give us some measure of time? At the very least passing days.

6) Inquire about possibility of selling off excess cargo.

7) Can we use all three 'tiers' of resources interchangeably, with the only resulting difference being in quality?

8) What are going to need circuits for? Are they the third type of resource (after generic resources and electronics)?

9) Can we please get distances to the map objects?

10) What does 'Small fuel tank (26/50)' mean? Is it roughly half full? If yes, what does 'Fuel: 123/2000' mean?

11) What does 'Power supply: 3/8' mean? Our PSU can supply up to 8 units, but currently it is too damaged to push more than 3, correct?

12) Can we please get some colour in the power distribution spoiler? For example, highlight non-used system usage with red, partial usage with yellow and full with green. Also make maximum power display more consistent. Example:
Quote
Main engines: 0/2
Lifesupport, sensors and varia: 1/1

13) Same goes to component integrity. Even better, concatenate both spoilers into one. Example (when talking about colors, I'll use the scale red-orange-yellow-lime-green:
Quote
       -Lifesupport
            Damage: severe; Power: 1/1;
OR (the following version I like even more, but I'm not sure if you had in mind a straight HP system)
            Integrity: 25/100; Power: 1/1;

       -Weaponry:
             - 4 Lasers:
            Integrity: 60/60; Power: 0/1;
             - 4 Rail guns:
            Integrity: 60/60; Power: 0/1; Ammo: 150 (I know it's actually 0, I just wanted to illustrate)

14) Why are sensors manually operated if they have power? How can they even be manually operated? A monkey with a periscope?

15) Can we activate all 8 aux. thrusters? What percentage of main engine power does a single one push?

I thin we really should consider selling

1) the shuttle
2) 2 missile launchers
3) corvette plasma
4) DO NOT try to sell drone parts

Diana will look for fighter pilots with their own fighters for hire

15) Can we activate all 8 aux. thrusters? What percentage of main engine power does a single one push?

1) All patches, material included
2) There's no two
3) Completely fixes structural health. Usefull if you want to do dangerous manoevres whitout breaking the ship in two
4) Often 10 electronic components (Of varying complexity) and maybe some resources. I had a list of these<
5) Look at the food stats, I'll try to add dates
6) I'll do the prices of those soon
7) Kinda. You do want to use the higher level of resources for important things though.
8) Electronics= Circuits (Just me failing to be consistent)
9) I'll try to add those next update
10) Fuel tank that contains 26 units of fuel, out of a max of 50. Same for the other one.
11) Right
12-13) Looks nice, will try to do that later
14) While the monkey is funy, interpret it as a human watching a traditional radar screen rather than the computer directly rendering the data on the HUD of the pilot.
15) You can when they are repaired, but doing it at the same is pointless. The craft would just hover in place. The thrusters are spread over the ship to assist in steering and dodging. You can activate at much 4 to move in one direction. That would get you about 25% of the main engines power, but 50% of it's fuel use.

1) Ooh. Can we use the material we already have for a discount?

2) There is a two.

3) What exactly is structural health? Is it our armor? If no, do we have armor in addition to our structural health? Does fixing it include replacing all patches with HQ? Does it include fixing our armor?

4) "Often"? Do you really mean that something like sensors takes up as much electronics as something like the main engine? o_0

5) "Captain's Log, 123rd of Bread..."

10) Oh, so we actually have two fuel tanks, one installed and one in cargo?

12-13) I love you. ^_^

14) And that's different... how? Can't we simply put the radar next to the pilot's seat? Maybe a better explanation would be 'The computer doesn't filter all the useless information and instead of informing the pilot about the most important events it tells him about everything'? :D

1)Probably, yes.
2) Where?
3) Armour are the plates on the outside of the ship, while structural health represents the inner walls, blastdoors and the stuff that keep the ship together. Fixing it neither includes patching with HQ (that's armour),although that will help, nor repairing the armor.
Quote
Armour: Depleted, several holes ( 4500 Good. 1200 damaged, 300 LQ patches)
-Hull Breach in: Cargo Bay C
Structural: Good shape, several holes (LQ patches)
4) Nope, the sensors would take something like 5, or more if you want to have really decent ones. The engines require 20 resources, 5 complex circuits and 10 normal ones
10) The cargo one was the one you got from dissassembling the drone.
14) No computer assisted targetting, or processed information(distances mostly, or automated back ground charges, or logs or noise reduction) or alerts. So yeah, your explanation is better.

2) HERE.
2) How is fuel usage calculated?

3) Sooo turning our structure from 'pretty good shape' to 'undamaged' is one of the most expensive things we can possibly buy?

4) But you just said that we can use electronics of any tier. Why the sudden requirement for complex ones?

5) I would appreciate it if you put all info in lesser amount of spoilers. For example, it would very useful if you put the "Assets" spoiler in a Cargo subsection in "Salvation" spoiler. And gathered together two shopping lists.

14) Targeting should be made by the weaponry-handling computer, not sensors. Whoever designed this ship really ought to have his license revoked. :P

15) We really need the internal map now. If we're planning to fix patches while not having enough money for the entire ship, we really should know the layout so we'll able to patch the most important pieces.

2) That one wasn't there before. As for how it is calculated, i had that written up somewhere, in one of the previous posts. Variations will sometimes occur depending on circumstances.
Spoiler: Simplified system (click to show/hide)
3) Kinda, it's a complete fix. A complete fix of your armour would cost somewhere around 30.000, installation costs not included. Sadly, the station hasn't got any military hardware for sale.
4) Not really required. That would be the optimal set-up. You can try with lesser things, but that would be risky.
14) You haven't got a weaponry handling set-up either, so...
15) About 5% of your hull is composed of patches. They are pretty much everywhere.
