Wait? Jumping? If trolls and giants get possibility to jump over the walls... well... we are screwed.

Just need to build higher walls then. And even if they can't jump over it I assume giants will be able to just walk over low walls when they're made multi-tile at some point ^^

Or build spike pits on the other side. Instant troll kebabs.

Giants are another breed of Fun entirely, though.

Ugh, now I'm going to forget to accidentally seal off the tops of my ramparts and gobbos will just climb up the trees and walk into the fortress...

On the other hand, that awesome.

Yeah, I used some RAW file scrambler, and that just happened.

What RAW scrambler did you use? I must know.

I second this. Any DF game with this would be ludricrously FUN.

My vote is that this will not be an epic release

It is just another release that is a set up for a much better release that will be done much much later.

Has anyone else figured out how to use the minecarts yet?

What I'm most looking forward to in the next release is for bows and crossbows in Adventure Mode to not only be useful, but to be preferable to throwing arrows and bolts. Wouldn't that be cool!

Multi tile trees sound nice...especially since after that the next natural step is multi tile animals and...whatever else needs more tiles. That will definitely change the look and feel of DF.
Hmm... Giant tentacled monsters with multi-tile long tentacles?

I wonder if it will be possible to fell a tree and have it fall on its feller. Another potential source of fun (and traps) right there!

Im looking forward to being able to retire from overseeing my fort without abandoning it, and that fort becoming a real part of the world, still functioning and trading and warring. Not sure if this is planned as an option for the next release, but hopefully it will not be far off once dwarf towns are implemented.

B-but how will the poor sods survive without my constant nudges (read: forceful pushes into MAGMA)?

An estimated 99% of all fort failures stem from between keyboard and chair.

you guys do know we already have multi tile creatures. they  are called wagons. but i imagine it will be years before we get true multi tile creatures. the new trees will be amazing and the new sites even better. i think multi tile creatures will come sometime after moving fortress sections
