Ishar (Ishar)To the roar of the crowd the first Human steps into the arena, faced off by the wolf. Naked as he was, the human found himself moving very quickly, grasping his Bronze Zweihander impatiently. Just as he was about to complain about long waiting times, the wolf pounced, (4+1 [Element of Surprise] vs 5+1 [Not weighed down by armor]) only to meet the sharp end of a blade. Reeling from the light hit, the wolf stalked back to lick its wounds. Not one to give a chance to the lowly creature, Ishar charged straight at the whelp and brought down his sword in a mighty swing, (4+1 vs 2) severing the wolf's head! "And here we are, at the first casualty of the day! Here's your reward, now show me that you can kill again tomorrow!"

The gate opened to reveal a boar, enraged from being caged for all of its life. On the other side of the arena, a human stepped in, wearing copper armor and brandishing a combination of a mace and a shield. "BRING IT ON!" he shouted, pissed at his master for forcing him onto this job. He charged straight at the boar, startling it enough to (4 vs 3-1 [Startled]) have a chance to bash it on the body. The boar seemed to have trouble breathing, after receiving a direct hit to his lungs. Facing the human angrily, the boar made a counterattack aiming right at the groin, (4 vs 6) but at the last second being blocked by the shield, followed by (6 vs 1) an impassioned bash to the skull, caving it in and smashing the brain. "Oh that poor boar! Well, we have more. Congratulations, yada yada yada. Here's your money."

The miniscule dwarf plopped into the arena with a distinct 'splat' sound, to the roars of the audience. The wolf, however, was not so amused. Not missing a heartbeat, it howled viciously and, with bloodthirsty eyes, ran to gore the dwarf. Grabbing is axe quickly, the stout fighter got to his feet, and assumed a defensive stance.(3 vs 5) Right when he would have been torn to shreds, he sidestepped,(6 vs 1 CRITICAL HIT!) and hacked wildly at the wolf, cutting its body into an unrecognizable mass of gore. The audience, who had just moments earlier been laughing at the creature, screamed in cheers for his prowess in battle. "He may be small, but you do NOT mess with a dwarf! Lesson learned? He'res your reward, mighty one!

The small creature flew into the arena, muttering quietly "Kupo Kupo, where are you Kupo?" to the giggles of the audience. A growl from the other side of the arena signified the arrival of the wolf. Flying in quickly, the magical creature (6 vs 5) stabbed it lightly, to the laughter of the audience, but what people were laughing were silenced when the bob on its head glowed brightly, and (5 vs 3) set the wolf ablaze. Yelping, it desperately tried to jump to bite the flying creature, (3 vs 4) just barely missing. It cried in pain as its life slowly burned to an end. "Magic? Niiiccceeee. Now, let's see you do that again tomorrow!"

An elf gracefully stepped into the Arena, expertly carrying a bronze scimitar and buckler. Cheers rang out throughout the crowd;an elf was not a common sight in the Arena. Facing off against him, there was a goblin holding a pair of carving knives clumsily. He obviously was not well plied in his craft. To try and outweigh his disadvantage, he charged at the elf. (5 vs 5+1) The elf turned and sidestepped, and held his sword in a manner to slice straight through the goblin's chest. (6+1 vs 3) Tearing the sword through the goblin's skin, it cut both lungs and the heart in half. The corpse of the goblin dropped to the floor. "Very well done elf! Here's your winnings, you've earned it." [GM note: YOU LUCKY BASTARD. NICE ROLLS!]

The "Russian" man Nikolai ran into the Arena, blowing into a tube after pointing it at the wolf. (5+1 [Element of Surprise] vs 3) Before anyone could react, the wolf was hit and poisoned. Swaying slightly on its paws, it tried (5-1 vs 5) and failed to bite the Russian aggressor. Nikolai ran at the wolf and slashed it hard with the silver scimitar, (6 vs 3-1) and inflicted a massive hit on its head, killing it instantly. "Woah. Nice one there, comrade."

Another elf walked gracefully into the arena, this time with a spear. He handled the spear expertly, and (6+1 vs 5) sent it flying towards his kobold opponent, which left it impaled against the kobold's chest. Wanting revenge, the kobold (5 vs 3) sliced wildly at the elf, causing a light cut to his arm, most of the force stopped by the armor he was wearing. "You bitch," the elf yelled, and pulled his spear out, (5 vs 1) and stabbed it straight into the head of his opponent. "Light cut on your arm there, make sure to report to the infirmary later!"
