"You're fighting twice today."

"Oh, hello there, Nikoli. Good job with that dire wolf."
Thomas spun around and saw Nikoli, who had killed a dire wolf the previous evening.
"I'll have you know, without that surprise attack and a bit of a wolf-cold, you would have been lucky to get out of there with one arm and all other limbs intact. But, let's hear your challenge."
The barbarian scowled...


I'll let Tsuchigumo550 make Nikoli's reply if he let's me make Thomas's.

"There are many obstacles on the road to success. I have nothing personal against you, and I'd like you to know that I hope we can have... as friendly of a competition as possible under the circumstances. I'm going to fight, but I'm not going for outright slaughter. I don't have to kill, or even mortally wound you, and I hope you won't do so to me. I'm out for power, friend. Lots of it. I need to show the people my capability. Yes, I got lucky with the wolf. I'm on to bigger things if I like it or not- and your name was the only one I could remember honestly.

I shouldn't say it, but good luck. I don't know which of us will need it, and it gets my blood boiling to think of the fight.

"Well said, Nikoli," the illusion of the shadowy robed man notes. "Good luck and good show."
As the image fades, Thomas mutters, "I hate that guy. He sticks me here--sure, I suggested some things that weren't such good ideas, but this is surely overkill?"
Realising that the rather intimidating barbarian-looking warrior is still around, Thomas mutters a humorous greeting and wish for luck that involved far too many cliches and uses of the word "blood." Nikoli was amused.

Okay, I'd hate to do this, but it looks like I'll have to abandon this. It's taking way to much of my time (1 hour per turn!) and it's taking time away from my studies. If someone else wants to make a new arena, feel free, but there is VERY little chance that i'll restart this.

I think the only way to do something like this would be to make it fully automatic, with a dynamic PHP system or something.
