Lonnie found his eyes were getting heavier and heavier. He snapped up in his seat. It would be bad for him to pass out there. It was such a public place, and he didn't want to drop his guard. Sure, no one would get hurt, but he didn't want to deal with the explanations. He stood up in a hurry, and got into the elevator. It didn't matter what floor he picked, he stared at the buttons for a second then called out into the lobby. "If anyone needs to find me I'll be on the third floor! I'll toss a note on a door of the one I took." He slammed the button for the third floor and waited for the door to close.
When the door opened again he darted to the nearest apartment, opening the door to make sure it was empty. It was. He checked the one next to it, also empty. Last he checked the other adjacent apartment, also empty. He returned to the center apartment to look for post-it notes or something to write on. He found a small stack of paper, probably for a long-forgotten printer. He prepped three notes, two of which read. 'DO NOT TAKE THIS APARTMENT', and the other read 'Tomcat's Apartment, Please Knock'. He grabbed some tape from an office desk and rushed out into the hall to place notes on the doors of the two nearest apartments along with his own. He returned to his own apartment and calmly dropped his coat on the couch. Without needing to worry he headed to bed, which he found after a minute of quick exploring.
((Yep. Nothing odd here.
