The Dwarf with No Name turned the pouch of silver coins over in his hands.  It would be useful to have a name, to give something for the arena management to work with when promoting his fights.  Of course, he couldn't reuse any of the names from the past couple towns; that wouldn't work out well for anyone concerned. 

Gladiator:  Dwarf, (60)
Name:  Hur Gostangfer, "Hammer Awe-inspiring Beast"
Net worth: 225
Personal:  1 wolf tooth bracelet
Weapon: Silver warhammer, (90)
Armor: Copper buckler (28)

Leftover:  $7

"Hur" pauses for a moment, but then signs up for another go-around with a wolf.  He knows he needs some more gear and training before tackling more dangerous game.

I noticed something about the rules. So, getting good equipment costs much. that's a good idea, a steel two-handed sword costs around 1000, that's cool.
However. Leveling up a skill might be too easy: 10+20+30+40+50+60+70+80+90+100+110+120+130+140+150+160=1360. And there you have it, 1360 coins spent, and it's a legendary weapon skill. I think that's too easy compared to, say, adamantine weapons (adamatine battleaxe costs 10200), so you might want to reconsidering the leveling prices.

Then again, a dwarf who tackles enemies constantly might become a badass anyway, through natural skill increase.

I'd say compare it to steel, not adamant ... in which case you're spending between 500 and 1000 on your steel weapon and somewhere between 1360 and 5600 on legendary skills (weapon/dodge/fighter/shield)

Vanilla pricing never made much sense did it? Anyway, is having leather from diffrent beasts actually do anything, or is it a vanity thing?

Thank you for the loan for the new gladiator in the new arena. That "weredwarf" you convinced me to help finance was the most visible of many factors leading to the old arena's downfall, and so you owe me much more than what I wasted on that gladiator. How about a side bet to start? If The Tortoise beats one of those hamsterfolk plaguing the surrounding area and which the arena has chosen as a mascot, you will be able to pay back your debt slowly, with the interest being invested in the arena. If he loses, I take the debt out of your property and hide. You owed me much before your most recent blunder, you know I will do it. Everyone who knows me knows I can.
Say hello to the wife and little Johnathan for me. How is his pottery coming along? I'd like the lizard he made, the one with the head on the tail. Give this little rock to him and let him know I carved the dragon into it personally.
