Phew, I am alive!
Gather plants

The plants on this world are very strange. They only look and feel half-solid, and trying to put any pressure on them feels like trying to force opposing magnets together. You think this bears investigating, and (with some difficulty) uproot a nearby bush to take back and study.
+65 Herb Gathering EXP
+1x ethereal orange-berry bush !base influence 121!Exploratron 9000 will engage his Map-Smithing module to smith one of the warped steel plates and four of the glass pebbles into a map of the previous world, with the glass inlaid to represent points of intrest.

You access your memory banks, attempting to map what you explored three days ago. You've barely begun, however, when the metal plate you're working on sparks violently, somehow triggering a surge of information from an unknown source. You black out temporarily, and when you awaken you have a complete map of an enormous spaceship, studded with glass dots to mark important locations. How strange.
+93 Cartography EXP
-4x glass pebbles [2*4]
-1x warped steel plate [29]
+1x steel plate spaceship map [127]I suppose you can use a craft action to try to make the animal hatch from the egg?
Craft(Hatch) an animal out of one egg.
18Somehow you don't think you're going to hatch this egg by sitting on it. You decide to come back to it later when you think of something else to try.
+18 Animal Breeding EXPKain wishes to see if this world has metal so...
Gather Metal.
27You wander the translucent woodland for hours, looking for some sign of metal, perhaps left here by former inhabitants. However, try as you might, you cannot find any evidence that anything more technologically advanced than perhaps a small dog has ever set foot in this forest. Furthermore, it's eerily silent. Not even birdsong, though you can see shapes that might be birds in the high branches. Tired and unnerved, you return to the ship empty-handed.
+27 Metal Gathering EXPGo locate some animals. I need meat!
25There appears to be no sign that any living being has ever set foot in this world. You think you see something moving out of the corner of your eye on several occasions, but each time it turns out there's nothing there. The dark blurred shapes in the distance remain distant, no matter how far you move towards them, and the maybe-birds in the high trees manage to just barely escape your sight every time you look. You return to the ship with nothing.
+25 Animal Capture EXPI am the mad scientist Professor Bastardane. I specialize in crimes against nature. For my first turn I will combine some of the ship's glass and iron dowels to create a syringe.
And I suggest reserving the last spot for Willsauce, since (s)he died immediately.
Edit: Gender = male.

Taking the iron dowels and chunks of glass from the ship's hold, you set to work making an almost comically large syringe. However, you're still rather groggy from your recent hibernation, and the quality of your work suffers as a result. The glass is warped and the needle is blunt, and it may well break if you exert enough pressure to actually inject anything with it.
+62 Medical Science EXP

-18x glass pebbles [2*18]
+1x shoddy large syringe [141]Oh. Darn.

Strangely, the trees don't appear to have dropped any leaves or branches any time recently. Recently possibly being applicable o any time in the last century. The grass appears to be growing straight out of the rock, instead of soil. Not seeing any branches to collect, you launch yourself up to the treetops and OH GODS
You wake up under a pile of branches with a splitting headache and a feeling of intense dread. You grab your spoils and hightail it back to the Ark.
+66 Wood Gathering EXP
+7x ethereal branches (about 2m long) !base influence 26 each!57
By all accounts it seems like a peaceful woodland scene, such as you might find on Earth. Or at least it would if all the plant life didn't apear to be not quite there. And if the shapes moving in the distance weren't both enormous and pitch black.

2.2: Well, looks like things are finally picking up. Also, if you're claiming things from the ship inventory and you don't specify a quantity I'm going to automatically assume you're taking them all. Same goes for crafting from stacks; specify how many items you're using or I'll use the whole stack.
