Also everyone's invited to make suggestions! Even if you didn't create the dwarf, since they don't belong to anyone
I wouldn't want neither to hijack someone's opportunity to order actions on his own dwarf nor have the same done to me. Maybe you should restrict the original seven to their creators and make the rest of the dwarves 'public'? Or make cats, animals, FBs and invaders public, which sounds even better to me.
I really don't want to share my BRUTALITY with anyone.
I can understand that this is a problem for the creators and the
starting seven are always special, BUT I don't know how many dwarves we will get to see, because the
micromanagement right now is immense and every new dwarf would only make the updates take longer - and we already have to consider various
enemies/allies that might show up over the course of time.
What I'd like to see is more of an
attachment to the fort as a whole and for this game I'm in favor of a
'first come, first serve' kind of policy. You had control over the dwarves when you created them and the traits you chose will reflect their behavior. You are always free to make suggestions and I also encourage
on topic discussions (the whole longland grass thing was a little too much, to be honest
). It's also some kind of failsafe in case some of the players won't make it in time to make suggestions for their dwarves and I'm always happy to see
new faces making suggestions, not being bound to idle watching.
Having said all that, either
color coding the suggestions for the dwarves or actually telling me
the name will make updates easier for me in the long run, because it's taking a good chunk of time to always see who made which dwarf (this will change the more we get into it and I'll eventually learn all the names without having to look them up every time).
