Rampant creativity results in tons of unnecessary information. It also deviated slightly from the original ide (shapeshifter that lost most of his powers) but what the heck.
Description: A grand warrior with body that surpasses any natural being alive. A hunter-killer robot crafted entirely out of biological parts. The greatest creation of Terminus’ artisans, which waged war against his masters and paid the price. Dreamer looks like a human outwardly, although most internal organs are unrecognizably twisted. His hair is black, wavy, reaching almost to his shoulders. His eyes are purple, and change colors in same way that his trench coat does. He has neither beard nor mustache.
He can be recognized by purple trench coat adorned with gold. Under the trench coat, military grade fireproof shirt, pants and boots can be seen. On his back, seemingly weightlessly hang his two swords, shaped like Talwars, but both roughly 45 inches long, made from material visually reassembling silver.
In a bubble universe, created by incredibly advanced species of humans, was located the grand city of Terminus. As much of a spaceship as a city, people of Terminus were divided into three separate groups, that seeked advancement in three different ways. The jokingly called “Fleshmiths” searched for greatnes in living matter, creating biological computers, massive trees that grew into shapes like buildings, plants that worked as factories, growing in mass whatever tools were needed and animals that served as pets, furniture and when needed, work machines. Then there were mages, who searched their way in the arcane. They forged sentient golems as friends and companions, they researched the energies that hold together the creation, they built extraordinary artifacts capable of enchanting one’s self to the limits set only by their imagination. The last were the ghosts, the enigmatic beings that were humans long time ago, but had since then shed their mortal shells, becoming beings of pure energy, searching for meaning in the psychic powers, enjoying the inner beauty of astral bodies in proximities that would had been far too lethal to defend against, had they still needed flesh. These three different parts that made Terminus what it was lived in relative peace, acknowledging one another, but working separately, and almost never communicating.
Within the center of Terminus there was a gateway to other universes, two gargantuous pillars that existed in every universe at once. Using this gate, the inhabitants of Terminus looked over lesser races, sometimes merely watching, sometimes interfering, steering the younger races to a road more acceptable to Terminus. One day, a particularly obnoxious race was encountered, and Terminus decided that this one would need a special touch. On this day, three separate parts of Terminus started a joint project. To create a new type of being that could control the race from inside. This was the day the downfall of Terminus began. Fleshmiths supplied a body that would look just like one of those they were trying to control, but better in every aspect. They created eyes that were able to see eight colors instead of natives three. They built lungs that would be able to take all of the oxygen from the air their creation would breathe, to supply with energy organ system, that would be able to assimilate any biological matter, thus making it immune to toxins, and muscles that would never tire. They gave their creation sense of smell that could discern any scent, and hearing that would alert it of sounds within radius of few miles. They combined it all with skeleton as tough as steel, and contained their creation in skin that was able to resist both freezing winds and scorching sunlight. Lastly, they enginered the genes of all the parts in a way that the body would be able to regenerate from almost any injury, including loss of limbs, as long as there was enough food availiable. Then came turn for the ghosts. They forged a soul and mind from their memories of five grand beings. A cunning assassin whom killed kings for sport. A great warlord who conquered an empire that spaned all that people knew within a single year. A great scholar who built a library that housed knowledge of thousand worlds. A wondrous mechanic that built a clockwork planet to serve as a workshop. And the greatest and the wisest judge that ever lived, to whom both living and dead came for council. They imbued the body created by fleshsmiths with the soul they created, breathing life into it.
Last came the mages, and instead of creating from their own power, they forged what was now newly created being. From his soul, they crafted a trench coat that would be able to resist any attack. From its will they forged twin blades – “Joy” from its will to kill and “Sorrow” from his will to live. They bound its mind to a book with infinite pages, to hold the whatever knowledge their creation would need. They chained all these items to the very being of their creation, making them inseparable, and empowering both the artifacts and the construct. The blades could only be moved if the creation willed them to be so. The coat not only protected from any attack, but could also change color to hide the wearer. The book recorded everything that surrounded it, granting their creation knowledge of all that was nearby. But within their work, the mages crafted something that was not supposed to be. The separation that lasted for generations between Terminus’ inhabitants left them unknowing about the craft of others. With their meddling, mages changed what was supposed to be a loyal machine to a self conscious life form.
The inhabitants of Terminus did not take long to notice this development, and rejoiced, that their creation turned out greater than anticipated. During training that included academic knowledge of all that the troublesome race knew, and all the military tools that were available in Terminus, The construct evolved mentally. Within month, he decided on his form, which he wished to be male, and his name which was to be Dreamer Ghost. He called himself Dreamer, for he was creation of fantasy of Terminus, and he called himself Ghost to honor the ghosts that created his very essence. Within the second month, Dreamer became curious in more than he was thought, and decided to investigate the history and goals of terminus. AS his book had the ability to obtain information on everything surrounding him, he was able to instantly obtain all the information regarding history of Terminus from the data banks of Fleshsmiths. What he found had discusted him. He understood then, that the inhabitants of Terminus were shaping the creation to their own ideals, that anything that did not fit the idea of terminus was pulled out by the roots. That despite rather friendly behavior of those that surrounded him, he was seen as nothing more than a tool, one of many made in the history of Terminus. At that point in time, Dreamer decided that he needed to bring about the end of this city.
There was one key weakness in the engineering wonder which was Terminus. Located near the gateway to other realities was the mechanism that created and supported the pocket universe in which Terminus existed. With this machine gone, the city would be spat out to some random universe, killing all those that would survive the initial blast of reality ripping waves that would be created by collapse of the pocket universe. When the time came, Dreamer took an anti mater bomb from the military warehouses on the pretext of “doing some tinkering of his own”. As something of sorts was expected from carrier of the soul of the grand mechanic, nobody bated an eye. When they found out what kind of “tinkering” it was, they were already too late. When the bomb went off, and reality started collapsing around Terminus, mass panic set in, which was only amplified by unexpected opening of the gateway between realities. Dreamer knew that he needed to escape before edges of the shrinking universe reached him. He felt safe in the panic that surrounded him; he knew that it would be incredibly difficult to mount an attack of any effectives against him among this mess. He wondered whether or not anyone would even realize that it was his doing. His thoughts were quickly answered, as ghost residents of Terminus started appearing around the gate. They attacked him, trying to tear the soul they forged apart. But the mages did their job too well, and Dreamer jumped through the gate too quickly. The ghosts only partially succeeded.
After emerging from the other side of the portal at some random world, Dreamer discovered that only part of his essence escaped through the gate. His trench coat once indestructible and capable of changing colors on a whim, now was merely tough, although still fireproof. His blades, once inseparable from him, now could be torn away; they even lost their power to become immovable if they left his hands, although they still remained indestructible. The book that was bound to his very being, that was able to obtain information from whatever was around, now was entirely stealable, and the only way to add information to it was to obtain that information through normal senses. The only thing that remained the same was his superior body. Later on, Dreamer would learn that he lost emotions as his cape got more damaged, and that the cape would regenerate over the course of roughly one day. He would learn that if he was separated from the book at length greater than fifty meters, he would lose access to the information that was in it. He would learn, that if he ever lost one of his swords, the will associated with the remaining blade would take over all of his being, erasing all other goals from his mind, asides what the sword told him to do and the recovery of the other sword. He would learn that this effect would transfer to others if they touched his blade for as long as the sword was in their possession. And most of all, he would learn not to assume on the capabilities of his opponents ever again.
(tl;dr Read last paragraph + superhuman body + regeneration to the level of lost limbs recovering within a few hours IF there is enough food availiable)
as long as he has the book. He
. He is
