I wouldn't say the Moderator's current situation is a result of killing people. He just managed to get captured by a powerful group of people and then piss them off.
As long as you are discreet about your actions (including your murders), I think you should be fine.

Edit: Ask the person if this is the right town for the Costume Convention. :P

Time stuff is hard to implement in these types of games. He could make each turn be at least 30 minutes or maybe an hour even if realistically the events would take less time. That would kind of force events to move along while encouraging players to post turn actions that take regular amounts of time but not that they have to plan out a whole day or week.

I doubt there will be many other days in the course of this game that will last quite as long as the current one, what with it having been constantly been prolonged by an abundance of minute actions while simultaneously being relentlessly slowed down by various personal life events. Of course, I'm still always open to suggested improvements to the game's systems and mechanics.

I wonder what a Yxchu costume would look like...

If my own personal mental image of such a creation is anything to go by, somehow absolutely hilarious and utterly horrifying at the exact same time.

You could keep the current system, but with the addition of a minimum time length for turns.  I would say 1-5 minutes would be reasonable.  Considering how many actions take little more than a few seconds, this would increase the speed by a fair deal, while remaining low enough that conversations take place over a reasonable amount of time.

This certainly seems to be the most popular idea amongst the majority of you. Before we can even think to give it a try, however, I'm going to need you all reach a general consensus on what exactly the minimum time length should be, as right now suggestions seem to be ranging anywhere from a whole hour to a single minute.
