Tatsuo stares at Arnok for a while, noticing his mask, and proceeds to apologize to Silk once again, slightly regretful of avoiding her advances and indirectly causing her harm.

"I am truly sorry, Silk. It was not my intention to make you fall and hurt yourself." he says with an honest, sincere expression. "I may try to compensate you for this matter later, when we are done with our current mission."

After all was said and done, he nimbly leaped atop one of the tombstones and stared at the light...Suspicious.

Try to get to the light using the tallest tombstones as a means of obtaining higher ground and maybe the surprise element on whoever is there, if needed. +1 to Acrobatics.

Creep after Tetsuo, staying on ground level and letting him lead.

Meet the new "enter race here" and greet him with a strong fist-shake/arm wrestling competition.  Give him a little run down on how there's some relic hunters about to head into the desert and I was in the process of finding them.

Go find the new guy, the Gnome, and then attempt to find the relic hunters to see if we can sell our services to them.  Preferably in a sorta work-for work and pay scenario, they guide us through the desert and pay us while we kill monsters and protect them.

((XD))

Theri shook her head as she discarded the notion of criminal activity amongst the populace. A demon, running from a mortal was quite a sight to see.

Four passings of Sun and Moon, I wager. The carts take long for repairs...I suppose this man wouldn't mind a bit of...light, to guide his way.

Sneak, sneak, sneak, sneak after that man and watch him or any related humanoid movements from stealth!

Back to index

Turn 9:  You feeling alright Arnok?

Before you continue.

1. IMPORTANT, I’ve added the PER stat, look in the discussion thread in the character creation for more information. You can slightly shift your points for this, nothing too abrupt though.
2. Choose your conversation color, you can ONLY choose from these since they are quite easy to see. RED,ORANGE,GREEN,YELLOW,LIME GREEN,TEAL,BEIGE. One color per person, and they dont influence anything expect the color of the things you say. See Khan's example
3. If you like this then why not vote for a place in the hall of fame?
4. If you spot any data mistakes, like didn't add skill to skill tab or no item descriptions. Then please inform me so i can fix it.
5. If you feel like it, please comment on my writing style ,story or imagination and what I could improve. As I'm trying to improve my English writing skills, but as a non-native English speaker I’m having some troubles.

1. Player Actions

Kilakan (Khan)
Meet the new "enter race here" and greet him with a strong fist-shake/arm wrestling competition.  Give him a little run down on how there's some relic hunters about to head into the desert and I was in the process of finding them.

Go find the new guy, the Gnome, and then attempt to find the relic hunters to see if we can sell our services to them.  Preferably in a sorta work-for work and pay scenario, they guide us through the desert and pay us while we kill monsters and protect them.

News travels quickly at the encampment. Just shortly after the appearance of the new hunter and the disappearance of the previous one, the whole camp knows it. You go ahead and try to find this new hunter. Walking around in the market, you stumble upon a different face. You ask if it's him and it is! This young human fellow isn't very muscled but he looks average in looks. You greet him with a firm handshake, after the handshake he slightly rubs over his hand. Heh, must've have gripped him too hard.

You lead him to the hay stacks which Dharma found. On the way there, you debrief Tyrion which you just have learned his name.
He gets to know the following.

- Things the Relic Hunter elf said.
- What happended at castle Volikmar.
- Some personal information, like home, parents, etc.

Upon arriving you see Gunmirius snoozing in one of the stacks but strangely there is no sign of Dharma. Anyhow, you bid Tyrion farewell and depart to the relic seekers.

You enter the tent and quickly are greeted by the elf Dharma told you about.

"Oh, a dragonstorm mountains orc? What brings you so far from your homelands? Never mind that, more important what brings you here to this lovely tent?"

"Well, one of my partners told some interesti-"

Before you could even finish , Kael interrupts you.

"Oh, that lizard fellow. Dharma, if i'm correct? Are you interested in joining our journey?"

"Well, actually i had some questions about that. Questions regarding payment."

"I see, well it's natural for all kinds of fortune seekers in this desert. Ask."

"What is our payment going to be? Or how are we going to get payed? If there is any payment at all."

Kael faintly laughs but quickly stops.

"I've kind of guessed this question would be coming, since you are not the first to ask this.
To put the answer simply.. There is no payment."

You are slightly shocked by this and surprised.

"But how do you know that people will join this exploration? They most certainly don't work for free."

Kael nods and answers.

"You are most certainly right, but there is one thing which people rarely know here. That is how to get around here. Either you get lost and die in the desert or stay here and follow the paths. These paths lead to nowhere interesting, while there are a lot of relics of the past in this desert.

Me and my accomplice got our hands on some books which explained where some things were located, they are untouched and ready for picking. What i only want are ancients texts, the things that the escort find are theirs to keep and who knows what you'll find?"

"I see, i'l be taking my leave then to further consider this."

"Please come back soon, we could use such a strong and big orc like you."

You feel enlightened but still unsure. Since there is no set payment, there could be a possibility that you won't get anything of value at all. Though this is a very slim chance, considering what you can find.

You leave the tent and go tell the rest of your group of your findings.

You gained Nothing

Spinal_Taper (Tyrion Answeller)
"Hey! You guys!"
Join the others, look over their stuff, current equipment and just try to get a full status report.

Having no idea where the other hunters might be, you start looking around for them. While walking around the market you notice a similar face. Namely a camel head hanging as display. You stop for a second and look closer to it, but disclose the possibility of it being your camel as there are quite a lot who looked like that. Walking around in the mass of orcs, you start giving up hope until suddenly a different orc appears. This one has a different skin color than the rest.  He quickly approaches you and asks if you are this new hunter, and you respond with yes.

He then proceeds to give you a very firm handshake, it hurts a bit as you rub your hand. While he's leading you to their sleeping place, you ask him different things which he responds do. (see Bolded part in Khans action) At the sleeping place, which are basically stacks of hay, you see a gnome sleeping in the hay and no-one else. Khan explains that there was this other fellow but that he suddenly dissapeared.

While he was talking to you, you carefully analyzed what they had with them. You conclude that...

-The orc is heavy frontline fighter armed with a massive meat clever,a fearsome cannon and a very poorly constructed punching glove.
-The gnome, apart from having good looks, is a sneaky type with a crossbow. You also see that he has some kind of tooth with him

When Khan finished talking, he said that he had to go somewhere. A short while later Gunmirius wakes up and has a little chat before he also leaves in search of something.

You gained nothing!

Greenstarfanatic (Arnok Baralkin)
"Wait. I've got this."

Drink a potion of Night Vision and check out the source. And the surroundings. Maybe try to scare the people off.

You wish you could see trough this thick fog. But wait.. You can! You grab one potion of Night vision. You look inside the small vial no bigger than your index finger and see a slight than normal thick blue liquid. You aren't sure whether it's pioson or not, but you trust Delilah and her brews. You uncork the vial and chug it down.

At first you don't feel anything different.

"Bah, she tricke-"

Suddenly you close your eyes and start spacing momentarily, there's a strange sensation in your eyes. You open your eyes quickly and find yourself able to see much more clearly and sharper now with a slight purple-ish tint!

You look around and see nothing of interest, though you are able to see slightly further in the mist.

Carefully you walk into the mist towards the light source.

"Hehe, maybe i'll scare them."

Near the light, you hide yourself behind a small grave and prepare yourself to jump out and scare em.

"BOO!"

Instead of finding people you find something much more horrifying than that. You find their corpses. Blood is sprayed around everywhere and their corpses are ripped open with claws or something like that. Guts are lying half outside their bodies and maggots are crawling out of them. Oh jesus, they've must have been here for some time already.

You get an urge to puke and... (2) Fail to contain it. You start puking near the grave at this horrendous sight. You feel slightly uneasy now.

What you notice as well is like straight line of blood, which indicates like something was dragged from here.

You lost some sanity

Caerwyn (Gunmirius)
Gunmirius will continue with his quest to find...A quest! That hopefully pays well. Or, maybe some camels to sell, y'know.

A new day , a new begin! After having slept well you head out again to find something to do. (6) This time you feel lucky and hit the markets again. Quickly you find yourself a chore! Oh boy! Oh boy! What could it be? The orc ,which resembles Khan a bit but with a big beard and without the scar, tells you that he needs the stables clean of camel poo.

...
Well, at least it's something.. right? You man yourself and tell that you are a gnome. A proud and strong race which don't fear anything.
With some hesitation and nearly puking a few times you manage to clean the stables of all camel poo. It was a hard day of working but it earned you quite a sum of cash for such a 'Shitty' job.

The orc thanks you for you hard labor and gave you a few coins in return.
You gained 3 goldlings, 7 silverlings and 4 bronzelings

Ironyowl (Silk)
Silk rubbed her cheek disinterestedly until Tetsuo mentioned 'compensation,' at which point she broke into grin.

"Well, that'd be nice," she said, her tone matching her grin.

Creep after Tetsuo, staying on ground level and letting him lead.
Hmm.. yes compensation. You imagine all the things he could do, but let's not doze off here shall we? You wait for Tatsuo, which suddenly heads for tree line and nimbly climbs up the tree. You're pretty sure that you cannot do that and are stuck on the ground. After a quick while he comes down and says that what he saw and that somethings coming.

You gained nothing

Caellath(Tatsuo)

After apologizing to Silk, you think it would be better to first look around before storming into the mist like Arnok just did. Using the tombstones like a height point seems like a good idea, but looking around you see that the tombstones aren't that big to be a real useful overlook. The nearby trees however are.

You walk up to one of the trees and... (6) first take a short dash up the tree, grab a hold one of the branches which... (3) Barely manages to hold you, doing a small loop gaining even more height. Before landing... (6) Perfectly on the thick branch of the tree giving you a perfect view of the graveyard.

Looking around you see a big red drag line from the light source heading into the forest. The trees there are broken and shoved aside. Suddenly you also hear some noice near the light source, it's..... Arnok throwing up and saying "Oh god". Before you start heading down, you see the tree tops moving not far from the graveyard.

Something's coming.

You gained 10/11 skilled Acrobat

Tiruin(Theri Aria )

Instead of following the demon you follow the man with the club. You stop at what seems to be his home while he goes inside. Like Arnok you go to the same window, but without making any noise though. Before you even know it, the door flies open with another loud bang and the man again storms outside.

"AHA, Now i've got you!"

Just as he's running towards you , he realizes that you're not the demon from before.

"Oh, i'm sorry. I Thought that you were something else.
Please come inside, it's not safe outside."

You hesitantly walk inside the house. The interior is a bit dusty and messy, but it's quite warm and cozy. The fireplace is burning and soup is cooking on it.

The man closes the door, puts the club away and sits near the table.

"A foxfolk.. What brings you so far from the Mirana islands? Especially in forsaken place like this."

You take a seat in an other chair and respond.

"Well, i got taken in by the monster hunters. From there i've heard that this place required some help."

The man grins and sighs.

"I loathe you, i wish i could be a monster hunter. Travelling around the world and doing something meaningfull"

He looks back at something that looks like a bed, looking closer you can see someone is sleeping in it.

"But i cannot abandon my daughter, that'd be a disgrace. But i wish that this was over. How can anyone raise a child in this place? It's too dangerous and she won't get the joys i had as a child. Playing with other children, climbing the trees and playing in the warm summers.

If only her mother was here. Her life taken away by this abomination a few months ago. Back then she still was happy, now she hardly does something. If only i could leave this place with her, to search for a new home, a new village.

Those are dreams, fox boy. Dreams that will never happen for me and my daughter.

Bah, what am i saying? You shouldn't listen to an old fool like me, you should enjoy your travels.

But do you want some soup?"

Said the man as he stood near the fireplace with a bowl.

"Yes please."

You said hesitantly, you somehow felt his sorrow and his burden. You didn't quite know how to answer to him. The man took a filled bowl of soup to you.

You slowly ate the soup, it reminded you of a fish stew you used to eat. BUt there you are inside the house...

But what now?
You gained nothing!

((I saw the new stat and thought you'd default to PER 5 for anyone who didn't say anything. PER 5 for me, please.))

"The situation there does not look good. We should search for a defensive position." Tatsuo says, adjusting his ninja mask and positioning the index and middle finger of his right hand in front of his face, his left hand drawing his Fuuma Shuriken.

His eyes narrow and he prepares for what is to come.

Stay wary and prepare for an attack, using acrobatics to stay atop a tall tree and take a vantage spot. Use acrobatics to dodge incoming strikes.

Khan thinks to himself "Well if they wanna lead us off into no wheres land and expect us to really protect them for free it's a bit of a laughing matter to me.  I'll happily protect their equipment and gold but if the idiots wanna become worm food that's all good with me."    Khan then says to the rest of the group, "I believe we should take those treasure hunters up on their offers, we are not going to find any good hunting around here and wandering off into the desert by ourselves might be a bad idea."
Go see if I can buy myself a helmet of some kind and some study armored boots.  Also try and see if there is an explosives salesmen around and if i have spare money browse what he has to offer.

Tyrion bites his lip as Kilakan gripped his hand and shook it with the comparative strength of an ogre. He pulls his hand away from the orcs grip, gripping it to try and and ease the pain.
"Look, I'll go with you. With a grip like that, I'm fairly certain you could handle anything."

"Tell you what," Theri replied, "I'm a lone Hunter, able to do my deeds effectively, and my ride is undergoing difficulties at the moment. I know not of any other allies in this area, but I will aid you - and your daughter - in whatever you need. Tell me of this that troubles you good human."

Ask and know! Compliment soup.
