Mission 1 Briefing - Agency US HQ (abandoned ranch in Texas)

We have been interested in the reclusive millionaire Xavier Delgado for some time now. Whilst wealthy from well invested money in the dot com boom, his spending has been a little.... unusual. Not so much the private jets and island hideaways, but the uranium mines and superconducting electromagnets did raise an eyebrow. Your job is simply to find out what is going on, and take appropriate action to stop any threatening behaviour of this individual. We have tracked most of the unusal materials to a dock in Stone Town on the island of Zanzibar, and Xavier himself is in Sun City, South Africa. Get to it. As normal, we dont know you and this never took place.

Spoiler: Toby Freeman (Donuts) (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Steve (RedWarrior0) (click to show/hide)

Locations:

Texas ranch HQ - Sareesa, Toby, Boxcar Joe, H.U.L, John, Steve.

Action needed from:

V-Norrec - Done!
Donuts - Done!
Dermonster
BFEL
Spinal Taper
RedWarrior0

The results of the turn will be posted when everyone has submitted thier first action, or in 24 hrs or so, whichever is sooner. New players are still welcome, as people will probably die quite a lot.

You're new here aren't you?

Anyway I might've stump'd him with the lawnmower. Give him some time.

Apologies for the delay in updating. The new semesters teaching has dominated my time. Anyway, without further ado, its time for turn 1...

http://www.macromeme.com/dog/birthday-skeleton.html

((This is my action.))
- result of roll: 5 (+2, stealth) = 7 - free stowaway on most succesful transport, in exchange for assisting another agent next turn.

Sareesa makes the first move of the group, and promptly vanishes. This was not unheared of. Most probably they had stowed away within some handy mode of transport, ready to appear at an opportune moment.

Spoiler: Toby Freeman (Donuts) (click to show/hide)
If I'm gonna do something I'm gonna http://macromeme.com/dog/mobster-baby-humpty-dumpty.html
- Result of roll: 2 = less than successful "accident".

Toby was immediatley suspicious of one of the other agents - [result of suspicion roll: Steve]. Toby tailed Steve to his aeroplane out front, and once Steve had boarded, clibmed onto the tail and looked to cut the control wires with a handy medical scalpel... but before he could do much, the plane started to accelerate suprisingly quickly along the dirt runway. Oops

Spoiler: Steve (RedWarrior0) (click to show/hide)
http://www.macromeme.com/dog/attack-speed-bird.html
- Result of roll: 2 = result - crappy areoplane.

Steve turned to leave as soon as the breifing finished. He ran out of the ranch, and headed towards the craft he had left out front - his trusty crop sprayer. Whilst this wouldnt take him all the way to Zanzibar, it should give him a head start on getting some of the way.

http://macromeme.com/dog/flying-lawnmower.html
- Result: 4 = succesful.

Boxcar Joe shuffled down the dirt road leading away from the ranch, heading towards a battered looking riding mower with almost comically oversized blades. It took 3, no, 4 sputtering attempts to start as he tugged on the starter cord, but when it did finaly putter in to life the other agents were shocked as the blades acted as rotors, lifting it to 15 metres or so and providing enough forward thrust to send it whirring away at a respectable speed. It would be a long, cold flight to Zanzibar, but it could make it there.

hehe
Result: 2 = failure, with minor consequences.

For some reason, H.U.L chose to try and psi-choke all his fellow agents, just to get thier attention. This didnt work. They all went off to begin thier mission, and H.U.L found himself gasping for breath on the floor of the briefing room as such a bold action backfired.

http://macromeme.com/dog/movie-parallels.html
Result: 1: Pointless failure...

John knew that this was his moment. This mission would be the defining feature of his life. His rough upbringing with his aunt after mum and dad died in that ski lift "accident"... the early lessons after school with Captain Manworthy, the special bond he had with "old shooty", this new bad guy clearly being his nemesis - it was all falling into place. All John needed was someone ready to make good on past errors... hey, where did everyone go? Why was H.U.L on the floor slowly turning blue?

Locations:[/u]

Texas ranch HQ briefing room - H.U.L, John
In crop sprayer: Steve (pilot), Toby (on tail fin)
On lawnmower en route to Zanzibar: Boxcar Joe
Stowing away on the Lawnmower (what? how?): Sareesa

Next actions please!
