Wacky glitchy hijinx

I've got a game going, and weird crap has been happening since the get-go.

Migrants only come in waves of about 70. The population cap is ignored, i have 340 dwarves. The dead walk, but there are only 2-5 of them. Finally, a goblin just showed up equipped with 6 shields, 3 helmets, 3 boots, and FORTY-THREE SOCKS. I lost my screenshot due to leaving my rig on overnight and having it freeze, but give it until the next gobbo invasion if you need one. The goblin's name is Dang.

Dang, indeed.

What might cause these things? I am not playing with mods, this time.

Possible corruption of the files would be my first guess if you are playing on vanilla. I'd suggest redownloading DF and trying again.

Also, spoilers are nice to place on large images. Just click the radioactive button.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
