((Teh Doomblade returns with a post!))

Keeping that direction in mind, Dave went looking for more shady locations.

Chapter 18: Stop all the Downloading!

Go to Birkenstock, 1400, and ask about the job. Get to work if I can!

Aaron Bradley heads out of the Pub towards Birkenstock. He walks. And walks. And walks. Jeez, it's pretty far away. He has some options. He could take a cab, most expensive but would take him (1 turns). The bus doesn't cost as much and would get him there in (2 turns). Or he could keep walking, which would take about (4 turns).

Take some torn up clothes and approach him. Ask if he can repair it, slowly transition into a discussion on gang violence by telling him it was torn by some handsters. Get him a little scared, tell them we can protect him.

"Excuse me sir, do you repair shirts as well? It's just that some gangsters went after me, and they ruined my only good shirt."

"Shirts, I haven't done one before." The storekeeper examines the ripped piece of clothing. "I'll see if I can do anything...did you say gangsters?" (Skill: Intimidation. Related Skill: Charm.) (6+1) William nods. "Yes, a rowdy bunch of gangsters around this area. They're terrible, destroying property and crippling people." "That's truly frightening!" William asks, "You know, I'm in between contracts as a security agent, and I'm always up for some work..." The storekeeper exclaims, "I'd like to employ you then!" He seems ready to discuss payment, and he doesn't even realize William is extorting him.

[/quote]
"Bunch o' bloody Corbardi jumped me, Hurt my should good in that fight. Still beat them down real good though..."

Fyfe says, "That's not good dearie. Tell you what, if you want, you could rest here and be good to go in about (3 turns)."

Smile to the visitors
we'll my associate once Fyfe is done with him may have something of value but I must be going, other gangs are encroaching and need a swift lesson in why not to do so, also a Kodachi is a small version of my sword, maybe 8 - 10 inch long blade, a lot easier to conceal then mine.
Head down to the spray painted building take the 3 guards who were with me and pick up the other 3 on the way, order them all to cover up their faces and draw weapons then lower my own mask and draw my sword before heading in.
"Listen up mates, theirs a new gang in town and we need respect, so unless you want to end up like your friend over there I suggest you put the slingshot on the floor carefully, and then give us a quater of your total earnings for the rest of the year."
INTIMIDATION
((I am a god of HELLFIRE ))

"I see. Well, we'll be upstairs if you need us. Good to meet you Lucas." The Long Shou head back upstairs to the pub.

After they leave, Lucas gathers his bodyguards. He heads outside with them, as well as the other three. "Masks and weapons everyone, we're going in!" The guards don their masks, bandanas and clubbing weapons. They cross the street to the Hawkson building on the other side. Upon reaching the door, Lucas whips out his Sword...

Inside, Mason threatens the Hawks. Their leader opens his mouth, when the door slams open. Upon instinct, the slingshot is released at Mason. (2+1 vs. 2) A metal ball strikes Mason's Left Forearm painfully. Lucas and his men begin to filter into the building. "Run!" The surviving Hawkson Boys make a run for the back. (1) However, Lucas's bodyguards move to subdue them before they get out. (2+1 vs. 1) Most of them make it out, including the leader, but two guards are able to corner one of them. (2 vs. 6) They lunge for him, but the Boy is able to slide out from underneath them and sprint out the door.

Lucas looks around. It looks like it was an office of some sort once. There's Mason of course, and on the floor, the body and caved in skull of the Syndicates first deceased victim.

Swat bats away, continue, being all stealthy and shit.

Jackson swats the bats away and continues on. Eventually, after more dark caves, he climbs up to the Pub Basement. Looking around he sees William talking to a couple medics.

Listen to any sign of trouble from the police scanner, attempt to get rid of the fuzziness in the scanner

Jason tries to fix his scanner. (6) Ah, there we go! The screen clears up and is good as new. Looks like there isn't a bobby car for a while around, the nearest one a good few minutes drive away.

As Jason fixes his device, Doug, Mal, and their troop don masks and storm into the computer shop. There are a few people in the store, including the storeowner. Computers are kept on tables in the throughout the store, and other electronics on the shelf and in glass cases. The storeowner asks, "Can I-". Before he finishes, Mal pulls out his trusty Maxwell Revolver and points it at the man. "Yes you can. Open the cash register!" The storekeeper puts his hands up and is escorted to the cash register. Meanwhile, the men are bagging laptops, hardware, and other electronics. As the cash register is opened, Doug takes his eyes off the customers to pick up some valuable looking loot. A heavier man stealthily moves behind Mal. (2 vs. 6) Mal sees this coming and swings his gun around, but the customer puts up resistance and tries grabbing it! (1 vs. 4) Mal swats the man's hands away, (5 vs. 2) and swings his pistol at the man, hitting him in the side of the head! He falls to the floor, gripping his bleeding wound. As everyone reacts, Mal points his Maxwell at him. "You, or anyone else here tries to pull one like that again, I'm putting one in your fucking head!"

Keeping that direction in mind, Dave went looking for more shady locations.

Dave keeps the direction in mind as he looked for more gang-like spots. (4) As he goes around the "dark" spots in town, a man from an alleyway comes and whispers, "Hey, you want something good, real cheap? Got watches, phones, that shit. Interested?"

Be firm, but gentle. Try to keep him scared, but not paranoid. Charge maybe a little over average. Tell him we'll send some men over. Head back to the base, look around for anyone who looks intimidating.

Send Paul with 3 of my bodyguards to run down a couple of them and drag them back.
"I want one of them alive, the leader if possible but any will do, do not allow them to see your faces and you do not say one word to any of them."
Have the faceless bodyguard remaining assist Mason back to the pub and inform anybody present that visitors are waiting in the pub, also have our trusty medic see to his arm, have Sean stay with me and assist me in searching the building.

(( Good boy Mal!!!! ))

Reply to the man, ask if he's interested in working for me closer to home (base).

"As a matter of fact, I was looking for men like you. I have proposition for you. Me and a few mates of mine are working on building up an organization for people like you, and it's far more profitable to work with a group than it is alone. Would you be interested?"

"Good, what they have should be enough for me to get onto these databases. In the meanime, lets see how long it'll take for the bobbies to notice us." Check street for Police, if there are any patrolling then get Doug's attention. If there aren't then I'll figure out where they are.

Chapter 19: The Chase

Be firm, but gentle. Try to keep him scared, but not paranoid. Charge maybe a little over average. Tell him we'll send some men over. Head back to the base, look around for anyone who looks intimidating.

William explains to him the dangers of gangsters, with some hyperbole, just like an overprotective parent. "Alright...that's horrible, don't want any of that in my shop! How much?" William asks, "Let's say, 125$ per (5 turns)?" The shop-keep thinks it over. "If that's what it takes, I'll pay. You want me to pay now or in (5 turns)?"

New Territory Gained!
Sleepmaster Mattress Shop (Extortion)
Pay Amount: 125$ per 5 Turns

Send Paul with 3 of my bodyguards to run down a couple of them and drag them back.
"I want one of them alive, the leader if possible but any will do, do not allow them to see your faces and you do not say one word to any of them."
Have the faceless bodyguard remaining assist Mason back to the pub and inform anybody present that visitors are waiting in the pub, also have our trusty medic see to his arm, have Sean stay with me and assist me in searching the building.
"GET ALL THE INFO YOU CAN!"
Run after the leader, he ain't getting away today

Paul nods and heads out after them with his men. Meanwhile, the bodyguard helps Mason back to the Pub.

Lucas and Sean stay to search the building. Going in and out of the rooms, they find nothing really except some food and drink. Maybe they hadn't set things up here yet.

Mason breaks free of the bodyguard assisting him. "I'M GOING TO GET HIM!" He runs after the pursuing guards and the running Hawkson Boys, leaving the befuddled guard standing there.

The Hawkson Boys stream out of the building, with Lucas's men on their tails. (1 vs. 5) The slim Hawkson boys are able to out-run the bulky guards, who have to rest after their 10-second sprint. 'Mad' Mason, on the other hand, charges right past them. "COME HERE YOU BASTARD!" He makes a beeline straight for the leader. (3 vs. 6) The leading Hawk manages to turn a corner and get out of Mason's sight. Mason turns the corner, (2 vs. 6+1) to find that he's lost his target. He could be anywhere at this point.

REST!

Alex is tended to by the gang medics.

(2 turns remaining)

Take the cab if it'll be under 50$. Otherwise, take the bus.

Aaron hails a cab and drives to Birkenstock. The vehicle drives out of the clustered city into the lush countryside. Pulling up to a large mansion estate, Aaron exits and hands the driver some cash. (-38$)

He walks up to the close iron gate, where he can see the drive-way inside leading to the impressive pillared building. A voice box at the gate asks, "State your business here."

The man sighs. "You from one of those damn poppy support groups? Go away." He turns and starts to walk away.

"Good, what they have should be enough for me to get onto these databases. In the meanime, lets see how long it'll take for the bobbies to notice us." Check street for Police, if there are any patrolling then get Doug's attention. If there aren't then I'll figure out where they are.

Jason checks up the activity on his scanner. (3) Hmph, it's dark for now, although it looks like there's no surrounding activity.

Sitting in the van, Jason notices all the other guys piling up into their seats. Jason asks, "Did you get a high-powered-" "No time!" interrupts Doug. (2) Sirens can be heard in the distance. Doug starts the car and the tires spin, as the vehicle starts rolling on the pavement. Doug drives off and swerves a corner as the sirens get louder. Eventually, they get far enough where the sirens fade. The van and it's party rest in a off-road junk lot as they look over their loot. Mal says, "Alright, next we're hitting a drug store. Get ready boys, we're not done yet."

"Hey guys, I went through the tunnels and they lead to some small town far away. Theses a farm there. Also, theses a guy knocked out in the tunnel. What have you been doing here?" Ask, then go upstairs.

Fyfe points to Alex. "He took a bit of a bruising. Lucas and some guys went to the building across the street. Also, there's some Long Shen upstairs, talking about wanting to trade and stuff."

Jackson takes it all in and heads upstairs. He sees the said gang sitting at one of the booths, distinctive with their orange clothes.
