As I'm currently archive binging this thread, I can confirm that this conversation has come up before. The general consensus then was that you should only be able to play if you drink and are legally capable of doing so (of legal age). Personally, I've seen how drunk some folks act after strenuous cardio (Pakratt's Really I'm Not Drunk youtube series, for instance).

What about taking a turn in a country with a lower drinking age?

Technically if you are a US citizen and you do something in a foreign country that is illegal in the US (say, drinking at 17 years of age) you can be tried for and convicted of that crime when you return to the US, even if it was legal in the country you were in at the time.

This is not typically used against people who were drinking alcohol. It is generally reserved for things rather worse than that.

I do not know if this holds true of any other countries.
