I am alive!  Surprisingly, forbidding the burning items and then pretending they didn't exist and hoping the problem sorted itself out actually worked lol they all eventually burned out.

Except the perma-burning parchment scroll on the stairs somewhere, it refuses to go out and there's just constant smoke billowing up the staircase.

The turn wasn't very exciting to be honest, it was mostly me trying to do drunken damage control, I loaded the game, saw half the front hallway on fire, and decided I was too drunk to deal with that shit lol and mostly just made dorfs haul shit around.

I wanted to get rid of that humiliatingly badly made pdf soon after creating it so I removed it from DFFD a LONG time ago.
If it's going to be done it atleast deserves to be done properly.

Past the 36 hour mark you are basically inflicting permanent damage upon your brain so thats hardly something I feel like encouraging. At this point, illegal underage drinking is something Id favor over extended sleep depration. You wouldnt really have ''fun'' at this point anyway, as a strong desire to die would probably dampeb whatever pleasure can be derived from dwarf fortress.

I mean, im obviously NOT encouraging underage illegal drinking, it was just to put things in perpective. But thanks for asking, potential undercover FBI reader.

I think the legality of that would vary from country to country (taking both your birth country and destination country into account, in some cases).
The wisdom of that will vary from person to person, but that's true for drinking in any circumstance, so... there's too many details I don't have.

Depends partly on how old you are. I wouldn't have any ethical problems with, say, 15 year-olds drinking in the presence of adults who know how not to hurt themselves, or 19-year olds vacationing to a more liberal country to have a few, but 12-year-olds probably shouldn't drink at all, you know?
