Good morning from mild hangover land!
It was downright weird how little got messed up during that turn. I actually got the magma forging industry set up, and I caught us up on graves and slabs, and only 6 or 7 dorfs died.

Probably would have been more exciting if I'd given myself an actual project, but I was tired. It happens when you're used to going to bed at 11:30 and start drinking at 10.

Since it was a Shork turn I decided to have a Shork evening, thus bought a bottle of Japanese Hitachino Nest Beer Espresso Stout and made the closest approximation to gyudon I could with the ingredients available.

It has been two (really! A whole two!) turns since my last one so I suppose that it's about time for a new one. The thread and turns have been progressing at a rather slow rate lately so I suppose that there's no harm in keeping the thread alive. (4 turns in bit over a month? I suppose that is acceptable but it could be higher)

By the way, that nearly-gyudon was pretty good. Didn't have powdered dashi so had to use some old (too old) katsubushi and kombu I should have thrown out ages ago and had to replace mirin with cleared kilju and a bit of sugar (actually, the taste is nearly the same). Also didn't have any pickled ginger and normal ginger or sushi ginger wouldn't do so just had to make do with pickled pepper. (atleast the color is the same..)

So, I have drank two pints of different import imperial stouts (won't bother naming them since I already forgot) around 8 hours ago or so and then a few shots of dark rum. Then a bottle of that Japanese (espresso) stout. Then had a tall glass of rum mixed with energy drink (since I didn't feel like irish coffee and I need the caffeine) and drank the last 4dl or so of my homebrew strawberry wine during the last hour so I have been drinking for half a day now since I'm kind of celebrating various things at the moment.  Been pretty damn tired for the whole day too and was almost ready to go to bed hours ago but didn't bother.

All I have left is half a bottle of dark rum, a bottle of weston's vintage and homebrewed cider (though this time around it is made out of cider concentrate ment for brewing cider instead of just juicing actual apples. Still surprisingly good)
