Hahaha, yeeeeaaaah, somewhere around the sixth shot that embark seemed like a great idea.  Less great when the zombie giant thrips showed up.

Surprisingly though it's doing pretty good.  Aside from the Great Zombie Attack of the summer and the resulting insanity, nothing else much happened, and two waves of migrants stabilized the fort.  So everyone is actually happy at the moment and work is being done.  There's a pile of coffins in the meeting hall though, lol.  Also dingo corpses scattered across the surface from when Wyrm's dorf went beserk and spent the remaining months of his life punching local wildlife.  Uploading the few screenshots I took now.

Also, the staircase is hilariously off-center.

The fort actually looks pretty good, certainly better than the last one when I got to it.

That weremammoth previously actually managed to pass on its curse, tragic that I bled to death afterwards. What a werething to turn into!

That particular thripps was named Hoistedbrides. It killed me and was promptly slain by Siquo.
Siquo, tragically, died of infection shortly thereafter.
