There was a mild mishap with Magma early on, but I don't think fires had been an issue previously.

I'm actually still really surprised we managed a working magma pump stack without setting half the fort on fire in the one save.

My trade depot caravan distillation device could have worked better, it sort of flooded the entire level and then stuck-on if I remember correctly (or did someone (scruffy?) channel a hole? I don't remember). I made sure the trade depot only had upward access to the fort though.
I was very impressed by the pump stack, I couldn't even figure out how to fix one small piece of it on my turn! I just assigned half the fort to pimp operating to get the magma reservoir filled up

Admittedly I'm still rather on the noob end as far as the mechanical stuff goes.


As an unrelated note, I think I know what the doom of this particular fort is going to be. Not including the contributing factor of drunken overseers of course, they can be blamed for everything and hence it cancels out

Wasn't that in the previous fortress? I think that someone was making a pumpstack in this one too but can't remember.

Perhaps I will take a turn tomorrow. Time will tell

Was this magma pump stack made with magma-safe materials unlike last time?  Because, well, the last time a magma construction was tried here the creator neglected to check, and one thing lead to another, and the next thing we knew every dwarf was burning alive.

All-in-all, a solid attempt.

Yeah you're right scruffy that was a previous fort, the one with the huge river.
I have no idea what this stack is made out of, it looks like Graebeard was behind the initial construction (maybe all of it?).

Come to think of it, I was thinking of the river fort entirely. No clue what the death of this one will be. The river fort had extremely easy access to the circus. Like, really really really really really.

Seriously contemplating taking four to all the shots and taking a turn. I have a nearly perfect amount of vodka left, enough to get sloshed but not so much that I'll be half-dead tomorrow.
And there's still almost six hours till midnight...
