I was watching DF code itself earlier today while I played with Scamps IV, and it suddenly announced that it had worked out faster-than-light travel, he he he.

Procedural Morality is now implemented, instead of simply having 'Good' and 'Evil', you can have 'Thane', 'Lar', and 'Ixt' (as randomly generated examples)

Don't tell anyone that you can see their shadows. If they hear you telling anyone, if you let them know that you know of them, they will get you.

I toned down skill-substitution so no more Plumbers that can build a particle coliders. While doing that i confirmed the Lensky E. Coli experiment today and everything works like intended well except that cooking to biology substitute which is gone now too. Likewise i finished the integration of Chematica, next up is finding a use for it.

In other news we just overtook J.K. Rowling on Booksales. I think i get scamps a new toy from the Money. Also we got a Peter Jackson as director for the Film, i dont know if hes any good but Zach says he has quite some reputation. Who would have thought that a the new legends mode feature would become this popular.

You know, Windows 7 automatically multi-threads DF, so that's not a problem...

Probably not.

But it's still false.
C++ does not have any automatic multithreading, and the OS can't automatically multithread a program (There is some deep computer sciency reasons for why this is).
Win7 does however assign some extra threads to a process sometimes, if you are using specific features. I remember if you create an openGL context, two or so threads are created for whatever reason, at least on my computer.

Yeah I think the program runs a number of threads and the OS hands threads off to cores depending on stuff like priority and time its gone in low priority. But when your program runs only one thread then it doesn't matter how often it hands the thread off to new cores, you're still single coring it.

I only have a very tenuous knowledge so please correct this.

It's better to be produced by Valve then, say, Zynga. Or god forbid, SOE.

This is an exceptional obsidian statue of Daral Darkscab.
The item is an exceptionally designed image of Daral Darkscab the dwarf and a slag bar (massive) in obsidian by Ksoth Lolorumril. Daral Darkscab is raising the slag bar (massive). The artwork relates to the masterful slag bar (massive) created by the dwarf Daral Darkscab for the Corridor of Matyrs at Monstergores in the late spring of 312.

I'm so glad my masons have chosen to memorialize the really important events.

implementing quantum mechanics on electrons has produced some interesting side effects on the dwarf scale including dwarfs apearing from the future and preforming orders you haven't issued yet.
Also dwarfs now behave like particles or waves depending on wherever they are observed or not.

Eating skill will now give a little boost to the indigestion skill.
Middle finger skill will give a little boost to the insult skill for mean dwarves.
Pissing skill and shitting skill is still being worked on. Using a potty will train the shitting skill better for children.

Added U-bombs to mechanics workshop. Requires 3 refined uranium and 10 steel bars to make, causes an explosion big enough to devastate a 3x3 embark.

Ethics are now tweaked. There won't be a civilization that likes oranges and hate people who like orange anymore.
