Yeah, I used to live in BC, and I have to say that Hydro One and the telecom companies here are teh sux. Hydro One and co are extortionately expensive and go down whenever a thunderstorm comes by, which is to say roughly every other day in early summer; having to pay that stupid electrical fee for not using your power in the middle of the night is a pain too. Oh, and the choice of internet providers comes down to Bell (lacklustre service, big invasive policies as I've heard it), Cogeco (Okay service, not so okay prices per gigabyte, modestly fast) and various 3rd parties that will leave you to hang in the wind if something goes wrong. Oh, and the hospitals, with one exception, stink.
