After meeting with Aela (if she agreed to meet him)...

Vandelay did not waste much time in preparing his trip to Voandrath, boarding a comforable cruiser and setting course for the planet. IT was his first time to the council, and he was eager to get into galactic politics.

Travel to Voandrath for the Council.

Hack the station's controls, get all incoming and outgoing traffic logs along with security feeds. Also trace the station's owner's ID.
((Hacking bonus doesn't apply, this time; sorry.))
[1] The station seems impossible to hack into, at the moment, the systems on full lock down. [9] But, the security feed is still being sent, bounced off a number of proxy servers and comms towers, but, after some tracking, you find it's linked to a terminal in an Interfeed Cafe on Sisyphus City, on New Luna. It only takes a moment, but your soon listening in and watching a conversation. [9][1] The station belongs to Serket Communications Unlimited, who went out of business with the coming of the Interfeed, but otherwise, you can't find out who owns it.

Fire EMPs at the strange ship, and launch a boarding party.
[8]The EMPs stall the ship in it's slow, ponderous movement towards yours, just long enough for you to launch a boarding party, consisting of most of your troops and men. [6] They avoid the protrusions and missile-fire, and well, board the ship. [8+2 vs 10+?] You and your men, upon boarding the strange ship, encounter a number of fleshy tentacles, rising up from the walls like Slurm snakes to lunge at you and dig barbed claws into flesh. Many fall to these hooked tentacles, forcing you to hold the hallway to the only boarding vessel still left.
[5+2 vs 10+?] Then 'they' emerge from the lower decks, scaled, beaked, tentacled monstrosities, who begin to rip through the already wounded and weak boarding party, forcing you and your kind into a retreat, to the last ship available.
[5+2 vs 7] You manage to fight off a horde of them by yourself, before slipping into the ship, heavily wounded, bleeding from a number of wounds and you slip into a deep unconsciousness upon reaching the safety of your own Capital Ship.
[2] When you awake, your sense of smell is muted, nearly gone, and your limbs feel numb.
[10] Luckily, perhaps, your fleet is now holed up on some moon a few orbits in from the planet, resting, much like you. A number of wounded, however, mention symptoms like you describe, and there's been a few cases of the wounded getting up  and killing whoever was caring for them.

Leak the footage and info found about Regina Mays all over the Federation net and in various less-than-respectable news services - as an anonymous source, of course.
[7] The footage and info causes a scandal, which [9] causes Regina Mays to drop out of the race, giving a speech about it with a flushed face and carefully slinking back to her home planet with her tail between her legs.
[10] The identity of who first leaked this info is never revealed or discovered, [??] except by one person.

Travel to Voandrath for the Council.
[6] The council has a number of parties, all crowded and hunched together, talking softly to one another about the absence of General Versen. Maxwell  Hayes is here, wearing a shiny business suit, wearing a tie patterned with red skulls, and looking incredibly bored as he sips something that looks like water, speaking to a few old men who seem intent on discussing Rotor-wave functions, or some such nonsense.
[6] A few people nod to you, shifting in their suits or pompous decorations to glance at you. One woman, wearing a strict, no nonsense suit, seems uncomfortable here, often checking her wristpad.
[3] A few others give you dirty looks and scowls, dressed in fine silks, looking a bit out of place in the number of business suits or formal military wear.

Attend the Council, via a vidscreen (Since any other option would be impractical.) Examine the leaked footage of Regina Mays, trace the sources the newsfeeds got the info (Via communication protocol tracing and such). Tracing is to continue until the source is found.

Record the conversation from the terminal, discerning the topic of interest between the two speakers.

"Atlaca... Atlaca Atlaca."

Someone said something in response, but Markactl wasn't listening. With a snarl, he tore off his left hand, just to feel something. The ichor flowed weakly; he was dying.

"Medicals. Finding medicals ship, robbing, making cure. Then, DE-Chhhh-DESTROYING ATLACA."

Say what you like about Ozomatli, they made impressive chemicals. And Tapalcayo doctors had become experts in converting human medicine into something that would work on Tapalcayo biology.

Find a hospital ship.
Rob it.
Manufacture a cure using human medical equipment.

[5 vs 4] You manage to get close to the mech, but can barely move without alerting the young man, who from this distance, looks...well, more like a young, thin woman with short-cut hair. She continues to walk around, but doesn't seem to bang the pipe against the mech anymore, in fact, she glances about, before making to climb up into it.

Slowly moving towards the mech, Emmanuel had to admit he was surprised, and lot only due to the fact the person was a female - which he hadn't noticed due to distance and her thin body - but also due to her behavior. If she was supposed to guard the Godsplitter, why was she climbing the war machine? It obviously had an antique security system he never saw anywhere but in the mech itself, so he doubted she was going to try and open the hatch. Maybe it was just a bit of pure curiosity.

Anyway, her antics only worked to remember him that violence as a first measure against a person who he was not sure was an enemy was hardly fair. Of course he didn't know any terrorists who had got something good out of trusting the kindness of strangers, but it didn't hurt to try, right? At least until after he tried, that is. They did try to teach diplomacy and seduction tactics in the organization, although it was admittedly easier hoping the operatives simply had a natural knack for those. Emmanuel had no idea if he had that knack.

He sighs deeply and checks himself to make sure he doesn'y look too suspicious before finally moving close to the young woman's back as she starts trying to climb the mech, hoping diplomacy may pay off.
"Hey there, girl. What are you doing there?"

Poke the girl and talk to her in a friendly manner, hoping for the best.

Go to the council at Voandrath and don't forget the High King's crown and ceremonial chain-axe
[5] The council goes silent, several people's eyes widening, jaw's slightly agap, as you arrive in your armor and High King's crown, a few people standing up straighter. You notice Maxwell Hayes in all his white-haired glory, wearing a swanky, silky, sleek business suit, his tie a dark blue, etched with gears.
[1] Most people go silent as you approach, guards eyeing you, hands near their weapons. It takes a while before you realize that it isn't just the crown and chain-axe causing the icy silence, helped along by Maxwell's chesire grin as he hears the silence you cause...

[5] People in the council are polite to you, a little too polite as they try not to offend you and...your handicap. However, Maxwell Hayes takes the time to slip away from the councilmen and councilwomen to approach your terminal. Grinning as he notices a large man wearing a spiky crown.
"So, how're you, Prime? Keeping well, I hope?"
[2+2] The footage and logs are hard to trace, due to the sheer amount of copies made of them, and Mays' own...lets call it charisma, for lack of a polite term.
[6]

Find a hospital ship.
Rob it.
Manufacture a cure using human medical equipment.

[9] Your people begin to search the nearby systems for a medical station or hospital ship, and luck out to find one, one system over, setting a course immediately.
[9-1] Like a some sort of Scavenger from the old planet, your fleet descends, destroying any paltry defense they put up, and informing them to stop all resistance. They do, right after the message is sent out. Your soldiers board, putting down any paltry resistance and stealing as much tech, chemicals and medicine as they can get their grubby mitts on.

Stolen medical tech gained!
[1-1] Despite the best treatments your people make, despite the hard work, you slip deeper and deeper. Pain begins to wrack your body, enough to make you spasm and twitch and curl into a ball as it replaces the numbness. Shivers of blazing warmth run up your spine as patches of small scales begin to form, only to peel off. The stump where your hand was shifts as three, flexible tentacles grow instead. You're still alive, that's more than what can be said for the rest of the party to make it back, all of which were put down.

"Hey there, girl. What are you doing there?"

Poke the girl and talk to her in a friendly manner, hoping for the best.
[2] Your poke makes the girl yelp, reaching back mid-ladder climb to try and grab your hand, falling atop you awkwardly.
[6]There's a moment of silence, before she hurriedly pushes up and away from you, reaching down to try and help you to your feet, before letting you drop back down.
"I'm so, so sorr- Wait, it's your fault! What the hell is up, guy?"
[9] Despite her angry words, a flush appears on her face as she adjusts her jumpsuit in just the right places. She doesn't seem to recognize, or know you, just yet.

"...I am at optimal capacity. The colony itself has suffered a minor wound with an attempt by an individual to destroy the main reactor. We managed to stop his plan, if only due to the fact they didn't think their plan ahead and used a timebomb when they had been discovered. Said individual has an astonishing combat proficiency however, taking out several security units with only twin revolvers.

Along with that I have been trying to acquire a copy of the mecha schematics. I believe I may have a way around the limit on their manufacture, though it'll take a signifigant amount of time for the project to even show a result.

I have also been tracking the distribution of of May's vid. So far, while the initial release looks suspicious I cannot pinpoint an initial vector for the distribution, all the vids found so far are either edited to a poor degree of workmanship or copied from those edited versions. Even then I cannot understand human revulsion to a benign self-stimulation program, as there are far more acts of sexual stimulation which could be classified as damaging to ones physical or mental health..."

After a moment in which Emmanuel himself was a bit embarassed with the situation, he stood back up, the blush on his face fading away as he made an effort to appear more confident and control the situation, trying to remember his training back in the base.

"I was just curious as for why you were climbing upon that mech while holding a pipe, you don't see that all the time." he answers her.

Say the above.

Say the above.
[5] She glances down at the pipe at your words, looking at the legs, before shrugging.
[3] "Well, I'm curious as to why you snuck up on me and poked me in the back?"
[5] She still doesn't seem to recognize you, yet.

There's a long moment of silence from Hayes, his tie taking the time to shift into a dull, muted golden yellow, marked with little squiggly rays.
"Well, the first and second bits are good; that nothing else bad happened to your planet or...er...people."

"It's an invasion of privacy and a disgrace. That poor woman, just blowing off some steam on a simulation, and the next thing she knows, videos and logs are all over the Interfeed, and her opportunity to become a High President is ruined. Makes me sick."

He shakes his head, itching under his nose, before his voice drops to a conspiratorial whisper.
"We've linked a virus to the video. They'll be deleted, as well as permanently changing the background of whoever's computer or data-pad viewed them to say they enjoy porn in big, flashing, purple letters."

Maybe he could try to get the upper hand here by being bold. Of course the move could backfire due to his lack of experience in the field but better than have her thinking and giving her enough time to recognize him.

"I thought you were cute and it was worth it." Emmanuel shoots.

Say the above.

"Chhh... chhh... chhh... USELESS. CHA!"

Markactl grabs his infected arm at the shoulder, twists it sharply, and tears it off, screaming.

"USELESS USELESS USELESS. ARM TO MEDICALS. FIXING. REST FREEZING. FREEZING! HEARING? FREEZING I, FINDING CURE, FIXING I."

Someone mumbled something in response. Something along the lines of "Dangerous freezing".

"Dangerous, chhh, dangerous dying of Atlaca plague. Freezing safety. Finding someone curing I. Failing, killing they. Ozomatli medicals, knowing much. Finding ozomatli, making cure I, else killing they. Understanding?"

Someone touched his bleeding shoulder. Would that it hurt; hurting would be better.
"Understanding, King", they said. Then the narcotics kicked in, and Markactl slept.

Freeze myself before I die of this plague. My people should remain loyal to my frozen corpse for a few months before finding a new king.
In that time, they will spare no expense finding a cure. By any means necessary.
Post something to the Interfeed, looking for anyone who knows about these Atlaca.
Take the staff of the medical ship as well, have them work on a cure. Kill them if they refuse/fail.

"I hardly see how her chances were ruined, as the material does not count for a legal disqualification from the elections. Damaged, I can see due to the sociological impact of such material released, even if I don't understand the base motives behind it."

Prime just beeped in acknowledgement of Hayes' whisper, not know how to repond to it otherwise, in volume or words.
