The Mayor ought to be evil.

That aside, a watchtower might be in order, goblins were here once, who is to say more won't appear?

Where'd we get iron? Tetrahedrite is an ore of copper and silver.

Alright...same as yesterday, but Grant should hunt separately from Thomas. Grant wants to make sure they don't get ambushed again, and Thomas wants to be able to find a companion without Grant smashing through tte underbrush and killing everything he sees (Thomas's exaggeration).
Any against this suggestion?
Edit: Didn't see you, Azthor. Hm...Do we have spare stone, and does James have anything better to do than make stone blocks?

A wooden watchtower would do just fine; chances are that we won't need actual fortifications, even more so ones made of stone, until we become a town. A small goblin raiding party isn't all that dangerous, but if they caught the villagers while everyone is sleeping, nothing good will come out of it.

Do we have any wood? Not to my knowledge.
Reminds me, at some point Rosa needs to forge an axe for cutting down trees.

We have nor wood nor stone, as far as I am aware, but if we are going for one, wood ought to be easier to a get a hold of at this stage.

Ash was mining for a couple days. Even if we don't have any stone right not for some reason, we do have a pick and not an axe.

Lunira decides to take all the Goblin's weaponry, and while searching them finds a small green gem. It looks like it was made to be used in jewelry.

Lunira deposits the goblin's crude weapons, a copper dagger, an iron dagger, and an iron sword to Rosa's forge for melting. Lunira took the whip and left it at Coleman's house, where he could repurpose the leather strips.

Afterwards, Lunira goes to see James, mostly to report the goblin attack.  Other villagers have already voiced concerns about the goblins, and the Mayor has been working on a plan.

"Hey there James. I figure you've already heard, but we had a little goblin encounter. I doubt they were much more than exiles though, a siege would have numbers and better equipment."

"I've heard. I was thinking about building up a watchtower near the edge of town, but we need wood. We've got enough stone from Ashley's mining efforts to at least build the foundation though."

While Lunira and the Mayor talked, Coleman had started work on the farm again. Ashley wasn't around.

Rosa was working in her forge, crafting a simple iron axe with another of the bars. She had about 4 left.
Just as she finished, Ashley walked in.
"Hey there Rosa."
"Oh hi, Ashley. What's up?"
"I was wondering if you had any iron left for a pick. My copper one works, but it's starting to need constant repairs. It's not suited for mining ores, y'know?"
"Oh, sure. I'll get on it. I figured you'd need a better one soon, anyway."
"Thanks."

When Ashley returned to the farm plot, Coleman had finished the last row.

"Damn Coleman, I didn't expect this. When did you get so quick?"
"Not sure. Just... worked."
Coleman was breathing heavily.
"Hah, come with me. You deserve a break after this.

Coleman allowed himself to be led by Ashley to a small mining site, where Ashley had a tent set up. She brought out a mat, two mugs, and a bottle.
"Consider this a party, in honor of you, for lack of better wording, growing a pair."
Coleman was too tired to respond to that, but he willingly drank the alcohol Ashley provided. She wasted no time in knocking some back either.

Meanwhile, James and Lunira had started work on moving stone blocks to the site of the watchtower. Lunira carried them one at a time, her injured arm giving her trouble, and James carried one at a time because he'd not been doing anything except mandating for a good long while.

It wasn't long before they were both exhausted, and decided to collapse under a tree.
"Hah. I didn't know those blocks could be so damn heavy."
"You're telling me. I haven't worked like that since before getting elected."
"Well, we got most of the blocks there. That's good."
"Yeah, we'll have time to start after lunch... or later. Later is fine if you'd prefer."
"Maybe... Were you planning something else?"
"No, not really."
"Do you want to plan something else?"
Lunira gave James a sweet smile. James could see past the innocent facade.
"Anything's better than hauling stones around."

---

Off in the forest, Grant and Thomas were hiking along uneven terrain. Both carried crossbows, Grant had a sword across his back.
"Man, you weren't kidding. All we've seen is a badger."
"Yeah, but I'm going to try something new. I don't go much further than here often, so i figured I'd just go in a whole new direction now that I have the time and supplies."
"Sounds interesting."

A little down the path Thomas was taking, Grant stopped Thomas and readied his crossbow. He had seen something...
He waited. Thomas waited. The bushes ahead rustled a little...

A kobold came out of the bush. It was dressed in little more than a loincloth, but carried a spear and what looked like a rabbit corpse.
Thomas whispered.
"Damn kobolds must be the reason my hunting's gone south."

Grant fired, and the bolt struck the kobold directly in the chest. It dropped to the ground nearly silently.

"What kind of hunting should we try today, Thomas?"

---GM TURN---

A wild cat wanders along the edge of the village, before pouncing on some sort of vermin. It leaves soon after.

---
You now have an axe, and Ashley's mining efforts have a better chance of being rewarding.
James and Lunira will be busy next turn.
Ashley and Coleman, despite partying, can still have actions the next turn.
You can plant seeds in your small farm. Right now:
-You can plant:
--Silverwheat, a grain that makes tasty bread and tastier beer
--Redbloom, a flower that when boiled makes great tea that gives energy
--Melumps, a melon with a rough brown rind and a sweet, juicy, white meat.

It's a bit late into Summer and nearly fall, so of course these are Fall crops.

Also, I mixed up the ores again. Let's pretend that the tetrahedrite was misidentified by... all the villagers. It was sneaky or something.

Have Lurina rest and watch for enemies, perhaps turning the badger skull into a totem if she wants to. Rosa should cut a few trees and attack any enemies he sees or Lurina points out. James should finish the watchtower's foundation and, once we get some wood, build the tower up. Coleman will plant silverweed, as its bread will provide sustenance and its beer refreshment. Ash should mine some strong stone, perhaps looking for ores or gems as well. The stone will be goodfor building a wall, once the tower is complete. Tom should see if the kobold has a knife, shinies, or anything else notable before continuing the hunt for food and a companion. Grant will keep hunting for a  while, until he can't carry any more or gets hurt.

Are all FGaR threads dominated by one person or are my ideas just awesome? Or am I the only one that cares?

It's because your posts are pretty good, so no one can think of anything that would greatly improve them.

Lunira was waiting where she'd told James to find her and took the ring back. She looked at the small green gem, and worked to fit the gem into the ring while she waited. It's base was a little wide, but it would fit into the central star pattern well. She finally got it in as soon as James appeared.

"You wanted to see me?"
"Of course. I figure we won't have too much trouble for a few hours..."

Lunira slipped on the bone ring and guided James outside of the village.

Meanwhile, Coleman worked the farm, planting the whole thing over with Silverwheat. He was partial to the beer it would produce, even though most of this crop was destined to become bread.

Ashley was mining on the hill near the farm, having mined out the other ore deposits. She easily passed through some mudstone, digging deeper until hitting petrified wood. Mining that out, the mudstone soon shifted to Dolomite.

In total, Ashley dug out 20 units mudstone (1 unit = 1 block, roughly), 5 units of petrified wood, and 10 units of dolomite before stopping for lunch.

Coleman had finished up the farm at about the same time, and he and Ashley went to get lunch together. It may have just been bread and some rabbit, but it was more enjoyable near company.

Thomas and Grant continued their hunting adventure, nearly ready to turn back home. Grant had searched the Kobold but found nothing.
Thomas stopped and pointed down the last hill. There in a clearing stood a moose.

It raised it's head, then dropped and continued eating. Grant and Thomas prepared their crossbows, both ready to take the shot.

They both fired. One bolt struck the moose's lung, as the other hit it's front leg, stopping it from going anywhere. Grant and Thomas gave each other a high-five.

They had to haul it together, but managed to avoid the kobold encampment (the general area.) They were almost home with a whole moose and a rabbit.

While Grant and Thomas were returning, Lunira was taking a walk outside of the village with James. They were both somewhat hungry, but managed to find some naturally growing plants that would tide them over until dinner.
"I just wanted to get outside for a bit. Helps me think sometimes."
"I know what you mean. Some days I just forego paperwork and send the queen letters saying they got lost."
"Your job must be pretty stressful. I mean, you might not be risking life and limb, but your trapped in an office, and all that management..."
"Are you kidding? You say that like your injury is nothing."
"It isn't, really. Not to me."
They were both silent.
"James, I know we've only known each other for maybe a whole day, but... Don't you want to take things a little further?"
"I was hoping you'd ask, I couldn't figure out how."
"But you're the mayor, you're like a diplomat!"
"Nobles don't have much in the way of guts."

"I still like you for it, but you never answered my question directly."
"You never asked it directly."
"..."
Lunira gulped.
"Isn't that your job? To ask..."
James and Lunira asked the question at the same time.
"... will you marry me?"

Meanwhile, Rosa went out to the forest with the axe. She was going to try to give the job to someone else, but they were all busy or they ran off, so she started hacking away on the trees.
Rosa surprised herself with her own strength. By the time she went back in for lunch, she had stockpiled 50 logs, more than enough to build up the watchtower proper.

Rosa went in for lunch about the same time Coleman and Ashley were walking out. She found herself slightly disgusted at the way they stared at each other. Maybe she was jealous or maybe she was just bitter, but Rosa got her lunch and brought it to the forge. She needed something to do other than watch those two lovebirds.

Maybe next update, include a spoilered stocks list?

Alright, Lurina and James will take a short break for a honeymoon; Coleman will make sure the farm's okay and make some blocks; Thomas and Grant will haul the moose back to camp and start turning it into neat things like leather, food, and useable bones; Rosa will do something while preparing to surprise Grant and Tom with something; and I'll let Rosa's specifics and Ash's actions up to someone else, because I don't have any brilliant ideas.
