I thought we needed stone for...wait, we did that and now have wood for the rest. Good idea! But what will Rosa do to surprise Tom and Grant?

The reason I've favored the use of wood from the start is that wooden buildings are architecturally simpler to construct than stone ones.

You can always go more in-depth. For instance, the 50 logs will be sawed in half and stood up to form the walls, the other half logs cut to form upper walls, the top floor, stairs, and whatever furniture is required, but if you wanted, say, the logs to be entirely used as the wall and doubling the height of the tower to have three floors, and the stone used as floors, fence-walls for the top, and furniture, this could also be arranged. I might start throwing different build designs at you to choose from, but right now, it's the first one (log sawing).

Maybe next update, include a spoilered stocks list?

Alright, Lurina and James will take a short break for a honeymoon; Coleman will make sure the farm's okay and make some blocks; Thomas and Grant will haul the moose back to camp and start turning it into neat things like leather, food, and useable bones; Rosa will do something while preparing to surprise Grant and Tom with something; and I'll let Rosa's specifics and Ash's actions up to someone else, because I don't have any brilliant ideas.

This, but Rosa puts up the watchtower and Ashley mines for more stones and ores.

What surprise will Rosa prepare for Grant and Tom? Especially Grant.
Hint: Reread the last paragraph of the most recent update.

what tools are available
A list of main tools such as 2 person saws for plank making, a lathe pole for spining, do we have a drill or do we need to make one. With the farm do we have irrigation water, a stream or well or do we need to pump/haull it. Perhaps a pond can be constructed for storage. Do we have a kiln for basic pottery? who makes baskets for storing the supplies. Are there suitible materials to weave like rushs or saplings. The Nights are cold we will need someone to weave blankets or hammer felt to keep warm. What about lighting? the goblins or kobolds could sneak up on anyone. Woods should provide rush light, sap for burning or gluing stuff. What are we doing with the dead goblins? Do we eat them that a lot of sub-par meat that might make winter bearable do we trade it to unsupecting on non caring taders. Their skins also make a good anmount of leather. Could we captere goblins kobolds and go into the slave businness? so much info wanted.
Give a list of tools and suplies and what we are going to do wth the goblins.
I suggest the goblins be skinned, tanned, butched, and preserved.

Going to go ahead and knock out the tool list, and it's going to go at the bottom too.

You have:
A full forge, everything needed to work metal
Basic carpentry and masonry. You can't form statues or make wooden crafts, but you can make buildings with stone and wood (i.e., yes planks)
No kiln.
No drill.
A small farm won't be affected by water availability unless you get hit by a drought.
You can weave, there are saplings.
There are beds/blankets.
You have torchlight, that won't need maintaining. These go out on rainy nights however.
We could have slaves, there's nothing you can't do in that respect.
The dead goblins are outside of the town, being dead.
I don't know what rush light is, but if you want sap, you can get it from trees.
Yeah, you can butcher goblins, but characters may or may not eat/use their goods, as personal prefrence.

In other words, you can get/do whatever you want, but if you don't have the means to do it, I'll let you know before the turn so you can get started on it.

------
Lunira and James were nowhere to be found after lunch. The Mayor's office was devoid of life.

Coleman goes off to collect the goblins to use for whatever. He wasn't against using goblins for materials, but he wouldn't eat them personally.

He began to make leather from their skin and bone meal from most of their bones. He left the meat in the butchery, where it would at least stay cold until someone did something with it.

He left the cleaned skulls and a few other bones alone, then with his new bone meal, he fertilized the farm. The plants were growing quickly now, the first shoots appearing above the ground.

Coleman began working on the foundation of the watchtower. He got half the blocks built right before taking a break.

Thomas and Grant appeared on the edge of town, carrying a moose into town. They couldn't find the mayor, so Thomas began butchering the moose, along with the goblin meat.

Grant went looking for Lunira for a report, but couldn't find her either.

"Damn. Where is everyone?"
Rosa overheard him and responded.
"You missed a lot. James and Lunira ran off together somewhere, and Ashley and Coleman keep giving each other the same looks those two were as well. Apparently love is in the air and I'm not breathing."
"You look fine to me."
"Ha, yeah. Anyway, I'm making you something, but I don't know what yet. I was going to give you a sword, but Lunira sort of earned it when she killed off four goblins on her own."
"Damn, I missed that too? I have some catching up to do."
"Anyway, you should go see what Coleman's up to. He's trying to show off for Ashley but he's just going to overwork himself."
"OK. See you."

Tom makes goblin jerky without knowing what the meat is, and the moose is processed into half jerky and half stored meats.

Ashley mined out 10 more dolomite units before stopping to help Coleman finish the tower. She finished the foundation by the time Rosa came around to help with the building.

Coleman, Ashley, and Rosa built the tower and finished it working together. Rosa was happy for Coleman's trying to show off by working fast, but was also off-put by the whole thing. It wasn't like her to be so bitter, but...

"I'm off to the forge. I have things to make."

GM TURN:
A light rain starts up and everyone heads inside. The farm is left better than it was, and the Watchtower proves to be waterproof.

If Lurina and James get back before the turn ends, Lurina should do a little scouting (she came here from her own village, she should know the area) and James will worry and eventually ask Ash to find more ore and Rosa to make armor for Lurina. Rosa will keep trying to impress Tom and Grant when they're in town, and keep her forge clean and ores smelted when not. Obviously, metalworking overrides both of these. Perhaps she'll forge something for Grant.  He will wait a bit before going off to scout and hunt; if Lurina arrives before this, they'll go scout together. Tom will help out at the village for a while; once he's done most everything he can, he will go off hunting for a surplus, for foes, and mostly for a companion. Coleman and various details, I leave up to others.

Rushlight its basically the inside of the rush plant soaked in grease and lit. Common as hell at one time. as it says "watchlights" are slower dimmer ones.

Drill, a hand one can be done with a hand crank and scaper bit for wood and even steel. Grandfather drilled holes in steel at the forge with a crank drill, pole and weigh for leaverage on top and a lot of patience . So we can make drills for wood and metal, will just take time and some effort to make the bits, which is little more than a hardened round chisel in reality.

We should be able to make some felt mats from the Moose hair whcih should have enough to make a good sized rug if a bit rough. Goblin har as well can be felted if they have any on them or used as stuffing for cushins, more comfort.

We have grease and fire ash so we can have soap so we are clean and not smell, so who is the soap maker?

You need immigrants, but you don't get any because no one knows about your place.

If you build it, they will come, so getting surplus materials and suggesting other buildings could be good. Do you want certian types of people? Academic types and magic users may not flock in great numbers to see a great tavern, and warriors probably won't go out of their way to go to a library.

Well, let's see what Grant and/or Lurina come up with in their scouting.

More logs should be collected and a store house to protect the food built.
Since we can mine and make bricks perhaps a underground water reservoir should be on the building needed list.
