So, my thoughts. Give them the spiel, and tell them that every man/woman who throws downs the weapon, and lies down with their hands on their heads when we bust in will be spared. Anyone still standing, we will assume wants to meet the business end of a couple of autocannons. (Or similiar large scary weapon)

That way, the crew won't be risking repercussion from the marines by surrendering early, and we get the shock and awe affect all over again.

...Never mind.
Are these more like Starship Troopers*, Alien(s), or WH40k Marines?
Do I need to provide TV Tropes kinks for any of these?

Sorry about the very incomprehensible post. Trying to make this, and new suggestions are popping up, trying to include it all best I can.))
Its okay. Some people just need to read the posts more thoroughly.
You're doing quite well.

Ask what volley the crew are talking about, unless it's something we caused and I'm forgetting.
From when the Highlander fighters made their pass and disabled the frigate in the first place….

Have Gordon move to the breach in the exterior of the cockpit as outlined previously. Have Reg, Lillith and I prepare the airlock for entry and ready our weapons. Once all is in place, have the A7 broadcast our message, then order Gordon to fire one clip into the room, confusing the marines, then have the rest of us enter through the airlock once Gordon is finished firing and open fire on the remaining marines.

I'm assuming somewhere similar to us, where we'd fit in as Kasrkin for a WH40K analogy.

What? They're just trained soldiers with armour and guns. Don't make it more complicated than it has to be.

I think the Marines are more Of US Marine then anything being basically a Elite Navy borne army.

((Never seen/played any of those.

I consider Marines to be units that operate off of ships, pretty much like marines we have today. They do landings, protect ships, etc.

But if I were to say anything, I'd be more around the WH40K, but without the absolutely huge-ass armor.))

"Alright, Gordon, go above deck, and when I say, fire a shot or two, so it covers our advance. " You say, and Gordon nods, jogging out of the room to his position. You tell Lilith and Reg to stack up, and take some explosive charges from a pouch on your leg. You affix them to the sides of the door, and before you begin the assault, you tell Mark to patch a message to the Bridge.

You tell the crew members to hit the deck when the assault begins, and they will be spared. Anyone standing is a bullet sponge.

With that done, you give it a minute, and tell Gordon to fire.

Gunshots ring out into the bridge, and you pull the clacker, causing a loud explosion. Reg and Lilith enter the room, shooting anything that still stands. You follow them quickly, and hear shots flying across, a couple hitting and deflecting off of your armor.

You take cover behind a instrument panel, Reg only a couple feet away from you. The marines are on the other side of the bridge, hiding behind more desks and instrument panels, pinning you down.

You hear a female scream out in pain, and you are sure that Lilith has been hit, though she is out of your field of vision. Looking around thoroughly would ensure a head ventilation.

Peeking out from cover, you see three marines dying or dead on the ground, with the remaining two pinning you down.

Gordon is still waiting above, Reg seems to be breathing heavily, clutching his chest.

Crewmembers are lying all across the bridge, curled in the fetal position, some clutching their hands behind their head.

What do you do next?

Gordon should take out those pinning us, and as they are distracted, we break cover and shoot them also. Crossfire for the win. Once that is done, Tell Mark to get in here fast, and then find Lilith whilst Gordon looks after Reg.

You order Gordon to drop down and go medieval on the marine's asses.

He thrusts himself into the bridge behind the marines, and kills one with a clean burst to the chest, and knocks the other one to the ground, causing his gun to skid away. Gordon empties the full clip into the marine's face, and he steps away splattered with blood.

You stand up unsteadily, grunting from the bruises underneath your armor, but you fare a lot better than Reg, and Lilith.
"Mark, get down here!" You shout, telling Gordon to watch over Reg, as you look for Lilith. She's propped against the wall next to the airlock, and is in bad shape, but nothing extremely serious. Blood is dripping from several holes in her armor, and it seems that several went clean through, the wall behind her being splattered also.

You are frightened, you must have gotten extremely lucky to have those shots glance off.

Mark approaches Lilith, having come into the room at a full sprint, and begins to tend her. Reg is trying to fend Gordon off, and you look at the crewmen warily. In zero gravity, they can't hear what you say, not being on your radio network, so you hope they stay down and not get themselves shot.

You walk over to the dead marines, dropping your rifle and picking up theirs. The penetration power on these things were nasty. Be better than the rifles you used. Behind you, Mark has stabilized Lilith, and is quickly carrying her out of the room, heading for the A7, and Reg is walking after, grunting angrily, not fazed by the wound after a moment of recuperation.

"Monster's going to bleed out, if he keeps acting like that." Gordon says, sighing.

The fight is over, and while Mark is putting Lilith onto the ship, you have a moment to decide the fate of these crewmen. What do you do?

((Does that count as a ninja'd?))

Grab whatever gear you can off of the marines. Order Gordon to go keep an eye on the dropship while Mark tends Lillith and Reg's wounds and then go speak to the two prisoners in the atrium about joining up. Once we're finished talking to them, check out the cargo bay and the engine room. Have Mark see what he can do about getting Lillith and Reg into the A7. Have Gordon help him if need be.

Possibly give them all the offer. The Federation won't know we've done the job 'til we tell 'em. So, depending on how long it'll take us to ship them back to base, we could fill our ranks easily. How many are there anyway?

((A dozen or so crewmen. Besides, recruiting them all would have raised a question from Highlanders, discovering no bodies or prisoners.))

You search the marines a bit, around you, the crew members are slowly getting up, but they are staying far away from their weapons. You toss a new rifle to Gordon, and rip a panel off of a marine's armor, hoping that you could synthesize better armor from it. Maybe the Highlanders might give you a bit of cash for the part.

Using the ship's radio, you contact a nearby Highlander squadron, stating the ship has been secured, and has prisoners aboard. They'll come around in a half hour, and round it up.

You follow Gordon as he heads back to the ship, where Mark is tending to Reg's and Lilith's wounds. By now, the small fleet is no more than ten minutes away, and you want to clear out of there, but not before taking care of one last thing.

You approach the two bound prisoners, and using a knife, you cut their binds. "If you're looking for work, where you won't be sacrificed by your employers, you can come with us."

They consider it for a moment, and they eventually agree. Taking them back with you will pack the A7 to the extent of having them sit on the floor, and whoever drives will have to be careful with acceleration, but it can be done.

"Go to the ship, tell the rest you're coming with us." You say, and exit the room.

Before leaving, you decide to check out the engine room and cargo bay. Opening the airlock that led there, as it wasn't unlocked, you step into the cargo bay.

You fish around, and find a small sum of Sol credits. The Highlander's should be able to give you a payment for this, as well as you find a small assorted weapons shipment. Checking out the engine room, there is nearly nothing left.

Several minutes later, the A7 is carefully leaving just as Highlander ships come into view.

Talk to our newly recruited mercs. Names and skills. Ask them what it was like being a part of the Sol army.

Alright, that's be the Alien(s)-style then. Unless it's powered armor, that's Starship Troopers-esque.

This. I'll take one, if you were serious about making a merc with my namesake. I don't expect to have direct control over him, mind you.

Does this all make sense?
