Leave mechanic at base and take everyone else, Mark will be the pilot
Yup.
So...we're pretty much all agreeing? Wow.

The fourth is acting as pilot.

--------------------------

Lillith, Gordon, and Reg load up in the A7, while Mark jumps into the cockpit.

As the A7 is starting, you jump in, armed with your own set of armor and weapons.

Not even an hour later, the A7 reaches the seemingly dead ship. It approaches quickly, and Mark brings it to a sharp stop, causing Reg to fall over onto Gordon. After reminding yourselves to actually use the restraints next time, you activate your suit's exoskeletons, and drop out of the back hatch. You, Reg, Lillith, and Gordon all land on the hull of the large ship. You tell Mark to keep alert as you leave.

You see several hulls in the cockpit, one very large hole towards the engine block, another large hole all the way in the cockpit. There is also a hatch directly below you that Lillith might be able to open up, so you can enter stealthily, as the holes might be guarded.

COMBAT INFO:

You: Assault rifle, Exoskeleton Armor. No injuries.

Reg: Shotgun, Heavy Armor. No injuries.

Gordon: Assault rifle, Exoskeleton Armor. No injuries.

Lillith: Submachine gun, Light Armor. Tools. No injuries.

((OHMAGERD.

We have agreements.

Nowai))

((Shit, just remembered. WE left behind the bartender, since you take his place.

Woops.))

Also, what else do we know about this Frigate? Is it only a 7 man crew of marines or do they have dedicated ship crew? And how beat up is it? I'm assuming, since it got mobbed by fighters, that it took a lot of surface damage, rather than a single knock-out hit. I'm trying to gauge how many we could expect to encounter.
Ninja'd.

By the looks of it, The engine either got targeted directly, or just got detonated somehow, same goes for the controls. If we have any space-usable powertools I think we should cut our own way in. If we don't, have a look into the multiple holes.

Look through the The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries for any relevant suggestions on potentially guarded situations.

This should work.

Also, isn't Gordon the former bartender? Therefore, we DO have him. Make sure Gordon brought the battle-spirits. If he came in on a joke, he should occasionally keep going with that joke.

((Opening the hatch. Telle, you didn't choose a point of entry.))

Looking around the ship, it's beat to all hell outside, small holes that pierced the outside layer of armor litters the hull, with only the hole from the detonated engine and ruined cockpit are big enough for you to get your squad through. You suspect those holes are from torpedo frigates that had assisted the fighters and bombers.

In any case, you signal for Lillith to cut open the hatch, and she pulls out a blowtorch and begins to cut through the door. In less than a minute, the hatch flies off, twirling into space.

You drop down the hatch, followed by your squad. Looking around, you are in a entryway type of room. There are two dead crewmen, floating due to zero-gravity.

One is blown in half, and you hear Reg retching behind you, while Lillith says, "Nasty..."

Looking around the room, you see a door behind you, probably leading to storage rooms and the engine, and a door ahead of you, leading to the rest of the ship, likely crew quarters.

What do you do?

((Oh, yeah.

I'm an idiot. Gordon is the bartender.))

Get to pressure. If there's nothing around, have Gordon offer Lilith a shot to calm her down, than decide what to do from there.

Well, looks like there WAS air in there anyway. Ideally, we don't want to depressurize the the entire ship, although that will kill off most of the resistance. See if those doors will be willing to open, but don't open them yet. If they won't of their own accord, I'd prefer hot-wiring them to cutting them open. I suggest heading to the crew quarters, then we'll be able to make a count of how many were on this ship.

That's actually something to chat about. How do we get further inside without depressurizing the place?
Also, shoulding the title read "You own an intra-galactic mercenary company!"? We only go in one galaxy, AFAIK...

Maybe Inter-stellar would work better?

It would've been nice if we could've caught the hatch so we could stick it back on behind us.

Could we get Mike to dock the dropship's airlock on the frigate's?

"Need a shot?" Gordon says, smirking underneath his helmet. Lilith doesn't reply, and it's clear she's irked by his lack of humanity.

You head towards the north door, expecting it leads to crew quarters. "Lilith, can this be opened without cutting it off this time?"

She walks forward, examining the door, After a minute or so, She says, "It leads to a small airlock, I can tell that much. And the door can be opened electronically. Give me a minute."

She pulls out a small box, attaching it to a small port on the side of the door. After pressing a button or two, the sound of electricity sizzling could be heard, and a thump was heard behind the door. She pulls off the box, then swore.

"It fried the splicer. Seems like we have to cut it off." She says, standing up and tossing the device aside, where it flew through a splattering of blood.

"What, if we get the A7 to maintain pressure by covering the hatch?" Reg suggests, pointing up.

You recognize that as a valid point. If you release pressure, it would kill the crew, but by now, the marines will have put on suits like yours, and not be affected. If you keep the crew alive, the Highlanders probably could use them as bargaining chips and ransom.

What do you do?

((Wrym, probably, you thinking of preserving pressure?))

((Also, inter-stellar sounds pretty good, in fact... I'll change it to that, see if it seems better.))

Yeah, preserving pressure is good.

See if we can use the A7 to maintain pressure. If so, do so and listen for anyone else who has heard us. If not, skip to step 2.
