I'd almost be inclined to take the second one, but...

A small moon colony on one of the Highlander's worlds is under attack. The colony has been researching some new kind of technology that might give them an edge over the imminent Kapellan attack. Payment is 7000 credits to help fight back the assault. Both sides contain several squads of soldiers, and the Kapellans that are leading the assault have some light armor. Danger is overall low, but it is a large fight, and quite hectic.

We have a juggernaut suit. We have two ships with powerful weapons. We probably still aren't ready and this is a huge trap.

but TECHNOLOGY WAITS FOR NO MAN

...Oh, yeah, new tech. I change my vote, and add that we download some free courses on space-age guerrilla warfare or something to watch on the trip.

Well this will be great practice with the turrets then!

((SOME NEW KIND OF !!FUN!! TECHNOLOGY))

You decide to engage in the first mission. You check on the dropship that the Jon's are working on, and they say it can be ready around tomorrow morning.

Deciding to wait, since it's only a few hours till morning, you settle to sleep.

Waking in the morning, the Jons have finished the E5, and installed the bonus laser turrets that the scrapyard owner had given you. Two on either side. Satisfied, you tell them to ready the ships as you head back inside, intent on readying your squads.

You have to decide who to take. You can take 6 people on the E7 with 2 on the turrets, and 15 on the E5. You have 11 troops, 8 sets of advanced armor, and three prototype rifles. You also have one BA-JN "Bajun" combat suit that you can fit someone in.

Ideally, you could fit a squad of 6 on the E7, and a squad of 6-7 on the E5. However you want to do the mission is up to you.

Take 5 soldiers on the first ship we had (E5?) with two manning the turrets- they'll soften the crowd up before jumping down as well. Outfit these guys with advanced armor and the prototype rifles.
Once the E5 is prepared to leave, the E7 should be showing up. Take 6 soldiers on this one as well, the last guy out on the Bajun combat suit. Have it leave after the drop is made, giving fire support while dropping everyone. All remaining armor should go here.

As far as battle strategy, have all the people with advanced armor act as two fire teams- two split groups attacking the same areas so that one cannot get stranded, and everyone else a support fire role. The Bajun should hang back away from the front line and tear apart any place the enemy seems to be clustered.

Secondary objectives are to find out what the hell this technology is, if we can use, have, or test a prototype of it.

This color coded Tsuchigumo battle plan brought to you by Space Flakes- now made with REAL dopamine, farmed straight from the slaves in Yarg-7! The cereal that never makes you feel down! Space Flakes!

Sounds fine. Reg should get the BA-JN thing.

((One question: Why have less people on the E5? (Transport)

Theoretically, less people on the E7 would be more effective. It's faster, better armored, etc.))

((One question: Why have less people on the E5? (Transport)))

Less people means a faster "fire at the enemy and GTFO". Or, I'd assume that anyway.

Ok, this is how I think they should all be split:

Alpha Team:
Ourselves 1IC
-Mark Nilman (Medic)
-Reg Uld (Juggernaut)
-Keith Avitan (Rifleman)

Bravo Team:
Gordon 2IC
-Jak Baxter (Medic)
-Lars Schwartz (Marksman)
-Jon Staen (Mechanic)

A7 crew:
Jon Mckinney  (Pilot)
Gregory Goff  (Turret Gunner)
Telm Emurius (Turret Gunner)

A5 Crew:
Lilith Merd (Pilot)

I think the A7 should be empty other than the crew, and then just provide fire support for the A5, and then close air support once the squad is on the ground. Both Teams should be on the A5, with two guys from the squad as gunners (Lars and Gordon maybe?) Once on the ground, both teams function as one unit with us in command and Gordon second, but if we need we split as above. Once the A5 has dropped the squad off, it moves to a safe location to await recall. Thoughts?

Mostly sensible, but when did Lilith learn how to pilot?

lets fit em all in the big ship and have Reg take the badass mech suit.
But the team system ubove works just use the big ship only.
and depending if she is hurt, Lilith comes with us.
