What is the dwarven life expectancy?
« on: September 02, 2012, 09:36:08 am »

So, i have a dwarf in my two man military (mainly for thieves and wildlife) but hes about 109 years old and i was wondering whether this will have an effect on his combat effectiveness or will he die soon because i dont want to spend time training a doomed OAP  :P

According to raw, 150-170 years, though that's assuming natural death of normal dwarf. I don't see anything to say that they'll be any worse as they age, so I suppose going strong until they kneels over.

"Natural" dwarven deaths are rarely "natural", and involve much more magma than is necessary.

I may be relatively new, but, as I see it, the necessary amount of magma is always more.

This prooves the average life expectancy of a dwarf: five years in a fortress :P

Add 4 for legendary dwarves, subtract 4 for nobles.

Oh look, I have a steam account.
Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

My nobles expectancy is 4.5 - 3, depending on what they do, like force that I make X items I want, sure. Else, torch em 8)
