I don't think there has EVER been a pc port for a MGS game.

Well. It looks beautiful, and I love MGS. I played a no alert run on normal for MGS4, and I finished it within 8 hours. They're always short, but they always have a good story to tell. I hope this one is no different.

I thought the CG quality on the movie, was kinda under par, until it turned out that that was entirely in game graphics, and god fucking damn, when it went into gameplay footage, this game is probably the most cinematic yet.

According to the Examiner, it's been shown running on a PC.

So. Happy. ^_^

All development is done on a PC, but one can always hope. By the time it comes out I should have a new computer, so I'm hoping they make a PC build as well.

As soon as I can afford it, I'm going to be putting a new video card in my machine anyway, so hopefully I have something to test it out on!

I have my gripes about the Metal Gear series, but from MGS 1 and on, I've loved every minute. MGS 3 is a game I've played at least 6 times now, one of them being a quick run through right after a previous run because I accidentally finished it while a friend of mine wanted to watch me play. They'd seen bits and pieces and were pissed they missed the ending, so I started over from the beginning and let them watch me do the last hour or so.

Still haven't played MGS 4 due to a lack of a PS3... but one day...

I'm curious about the setting of this new one... so much to speculate about.

Well actually, the first Metal Gear games were made for the computer, before they were ported to consoles. </pedant>

Also, this looks pretty incredible. I was expecting Snake to be a bit older this time around, though. Looks like Kojima is getting in touch with the series' roots again, which is good.

Watched it, awesome.

Big Boss was the only one with an eyepatch, right?

Actually Big Boss had his eyepatch on the right and Snake had his on the left. The person in the video would have to be Big Boss.

It's most likely set in Africa. I also heard that when you finish a mission and are extracted you can make the helicopters blare music from your harddrive.
