Seems we have enough people to start now. I've genned up a world. Okay here's the rules: 48hours of gamplay, can take as long as you want in game time, (preferably keep to a year or two) but after 48 hours (or less, if you find yourself busy) you pass it on. As soon as the game begins we dig down to the caverns and establish the fort underground. Remember; This means no caravans! The only reason your allowed up top is if it's the military going up to fight something off, migrants coming in/haulers taking in shit from the surface. As it's a glacier there won't be much up there but nasties who wish to kill and devour us in our sleep

Sounds Fun. Sadly, StNPO beat you to it, biome and all. Try something else, like forbidding the use of metal or forcing them to build aboveground or something creative like that.

havn't read any other succesions. Damn it. I knew this kinda thing was popular. Okay let's try it in the caverns perhaps? Or maybe aboveground? Aboveground in a glacier sounds nigh impossible. Hell we could even do it with broseph stalins rules. Any suggestions?

Caverns have been done, but not often. Do it with enough panache and you'll be good. Heck, I'd join, regardless of panache status..

Evil glacier is the common choice for !!FUN!!. But you never can say is it going to be epic until try. I'm in with Gar, mechanic.

Hmm... will we try the caverns then? As soon as the game begins we dig down to the first cavern, (or maybe we should use a cave?) with only one entrance for migrants/traders to enter the fort? Also yeah sure, I'll gen up the world tonight and dwarf those who wish to be dorfed

I suppose we bring one or two military dwarves incase of troggys or undead, or even GCS.
I also suggest we bring two farmers, two miners, a carpenter/treecutter, a mason/ mechanic, metalsmith/ military for equipment and a eairly metal production, sounds good?

The tree cutter can learn on the spot. I always like to carry along at lest competabt in engraving too, but we can just assign one of the military to tree cutting. I'm about to gen a world and take some screenshots Expect updates within the hour

Military + civilian job with uniform (miner, woodcutter, hunter) = Bugs! Try to avoid it.

Make me the mason or woodcutter. And throw me in the military as an axedwarf. And throw me in the list of players to join while your at it, Id like fifth year or over however, I'm busy with my own sucession game and an adventure mode story thing (its more like watching me epic failing)
