Oh, by the way, dorf me as a male bonecarver whenever the time is appropriate. And if it doesn't hurt, characterize him as smoking a pipe.

So far this is going rather well, I especially like the very large number of screenshots to help visuallize the fort, and it seems to be going great.
Can't wait till I get Dorf'd in and see what all happens.
And tell the miners to start looking for some silver!

inspiredsimji you performed amazingly, the fortress started off without a hitch which is one of the most important parts of the succession game. Excellent work!

I highly doubt it was completely hitchless...

You're right, one of the dogs lost a toe, remember?

Yeah but by dwarven standards that's nothing. Really what does one toe matter as long as your not being gutted alive or eaten by grizzly bears :P

For a dwarf it means life with a crutch I think. For a dog that's like being kicked in the side with foam boots.

I think tamed wolverines would be a great goal for a future overseer.

Indeed.
Including a sheepwolverine to accompany GreatWyrmBrass. And, ideally, a werewolverine. Even better if the werewolverine wears yellow-and-blue spandex.

I guess we'll need some adamantine sooner than I thought.
