"That was...unexpected. Those with spears first, Rodri?"

"The ones who can take more of a beating first." Rodri said, moving down the stairs, weapons out and wary for any sign of threats.

Down the stairs we go.

"Stand back."

Blast the door open with magic.

"...Thanks Annatto. I owe you one."

Follow in Rodri's footsteps, sense for magic traces along the way.

Rodri begins his trip down the stairs, carefully landing each foot as he finally reaches the bottom, the two others right behind him. In this deep, bottom room you can see a large crystal, and a hooded figure sitting in a rocking chair. You cannot make out any physical details of him, their brown robe looking coarse and simple.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Thranduil gives up on the door, jumping ahead and stabbing into this vile creature's head as chips of its bone are knocked away. You see a putrid green ooze begin to drip out of the new hole. The grin of the skull still sees into you. (2 damage)

The creature opens its jaws, charging at you though you can sidestep in time as it rams into the wall nearby.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Jerri, hearing the commotion points at the door, shooting a bolt of magic directly through the wooden door, leaving a hole as you peer inside to see signs of a fight.

"Excuse me, and I'm sorry for my companion's unnecessary violence. We heard about something scaring the animals away. Would that be you?" Rodri asked, wary.

Ask.

Lia tapped Rodri's shoulder. "Now do you see what I'm talking about? A pattern!

"People in rocking chairs, or most people slumped over one. It's just like a party with chairs whenever we get to see action. Also, who keeps near a crystalline mass that is mostly presumably a rock formation - unless having any essence of magic? I'm warding us now, mind you."

Stab it again and aim for the exact same spot on it's head.

Solomon senses the base euphoria of brutal medieval combat nearby, and WIGS OUT. He grabs both sides of the hole in the weakened door and tries to rip it apart the rest of the way.

"SOLOMON KILL WEAKLING DOOR!!!" He roars out, flecks of anger flying from his maw.

The man in front of Rodri does not respond with words. He raises his hand and points with a dark skinned, bone-bare finger to the large crystal in the center of the room.

((Could I at least know if I exist, or am acting at all. Please. I can't even know my character's limit.))

"Do we have permission to manipulate that crystal, sir?"

Ask.

"What does this crystal do, Sir? Any useful information on it?"

Ask.

The man simply continues to point, un-budging.

((Sorry about that, I'm just a bit tired today and for the past few days due to things that have been happening. You really don't have access to much magical power, you can assume that you know how to do basic things like sense magic or somesuch, but putting up magic wards would be an actual skill you could use in battle. So you would have to learn in through the course of actually playing.))

------------------------------------------------------------
Thranduil Jabs again, Knocking off a significantly larger chunk from the 'skull' (4 damage)
-------------
The creature widens its jaws, jumping directly at you as you sidestep it yet again.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Razgar, feeling the thrill of battle going on nearby, lunges for the door, instead of prying it apart however, he simply crashes into it as it falls down, letting light flood into the dimly lit room, revealing the Gruesome creature in its entirety. Causing everyone to cringe at its sight, but still able to fight.

Ram my pike through the hole in the skull and deep into it's brain.

"...Fine then, Sir."

Throw a small pebble/piece of wood at the crystal.
