The three of you head off to the temple, healing yourselves of wounds sustained in battle. Rodri steps up to the altar and places the hand on it.

Suddenly, The body begins to form from magic in the air, a male orc taking shape. Finally he finishes forming his body, dropping down. He cracks his neck, instantly swinging his arm into Rodri as he's knocked over, viewing his hand casually as he flexes his fingers. "Not bad." He turns to face the others. "So I take it you killed that thing?"

"We did, good sir!" Lia replied. "And...I take it you were the unfortunate victim of an eyeball with weeds?"

((I think players at lower levels than the current dungeon level should get bonus xp. It's frustrating to be forever stuck behind everybody else, but with bonus xp there's not much harm in sitting out for a run or two occasionally.))

Lia holds the spear, it feels so natural to her. She looks at the thorns. Very strange, you can tell that the spear seems to be alive. Though, it must have been locked in that box for years. It must be pretty strong.
1-6 damage. 10% chance to cause 1-3 bleeding damage per turn for 4 turns. (on limb that was damaged.)

"So does anyone mind if I keep this, or do we head back to the dungeon? At the rate we're going, perhaps there will be willing companions to bring along from the citizenry.

"I mean, this town must be filled with adventurers, right?"

"Yes, we killed that thing. Also, you can keep that spear in my opinion." Rodri says as he returns the orc's action, swinging his arm at him before throwing him a cloth to cover his lower parts.

"Jerri, you can keep the scrolls, and I think those may work well in tandem with Lia's spear."

Appearance: Short and petite, with auburn hair cropped short, with a side-swept fringe. Her dark eyes sparkle; with what emotion cannot be told. However, something tells you that it probably isn't curiosity, or innocence that does that. Her arms are unusually muscled for a girl, but even so, they are lean compared to most men. Her mother's crest is on her left palm.

Past life: Chased out of her valley home, she had wandered for ages before finding her way to the dungeons. However, whatever superstition empowered the villagers didn't proscribe her from getting a decent education in the usage of short spears, and she has not slacked off training ever since. Recently, she has realized a way to supplement her meleeing: "magic," in the form of "chasers" that sometimes form and sometimes disappear, which float around her before they crash into the enemy as she directs them.

A hint of a rumor here, a scrap of hearsay there has lead her to the city.

Could my character's 'magic' be usable on the same turn as a successful strike? :-0 I think it won't be too unbalanced, seeing that I only have 6 strength and 2 per five levels, while melee classes get a point every level. Also, it puts myself in danger. xD

If not, it doesn't matter that much :3

What incentive is there to choose a mage over a wizard? Other than that ambidexterity, and the scrolls instead of the runes, mages only get 1 measly lethal HP point every four levels over wizards, while wizards get a more constant spell damage. >.>

With all resting done, now is the time to decide where to go. You all feel too tired to go to the dungeon again today. It's very late, so only taverns and the library will be open.

((Oh, and the questions, no, a spell cannot be used after an attack. Second- the difference is spells. You can quite certainly get new spells, and many of which are class specific. (In fact, it was possible to get one from the dread lurker)))
