"If they shun meat, I can bet what that bow is for..."

Go for another quick forage before nightfall, keeping well clear of the direction the elves went.

Lorbam looks at the remaining stocks.

We cannot really expect to eat for a couple day and then just wait months for plants to grow. The kids these days and their wishful thinking...

Lorbam goes looking for Harald

"Maybe we can start producing toys, you seem at ease with woodworking and I've a knack for moving parts. I can totally see us building some dolls and horses with wheels and such. To trade for food."

Gustave forgot all about that scholary type they had with them
and instead focused on clearing the campsite for more rocks and roots with great zeal.

"It builds muscle!"
Is all the other's got for an answer to his newfound hobby.

//OOC ADVERTISEMENT: Given that Deny hasn't been online for almost a week, replacement for Harald is needed.

Wield axe with both hands so no fingers are chopped off and keep chopping.

[roll: 5, -1 tool]

Chop, chop... after some arduous chopping and cutting, Vittori had another pile of planks. Twenty-four, if his counting is correct.

Go for another quick forage before nightfall, keeping well clear of the direction the elves went.

[roll: 6]
Whilst foraging for something edible, Karel stumbled upon batch of certain plants. As far as she could remember, those were herbs primary used in curing mild illnesses. The amount of these herbs was enough to completely stuff the second bag she was carrying.

Lorbam goes looking for Harald

Lorbam found Harald daydreaming during a direct course toward the treacherous swamps. He looked like he was enchanted, or at least, cloudminded.

Who knows where he could end if he wasn't found now.

Continue to build the new house.

[roll: 5]

With use of hammer, wooden bits and nails, Sieghart managed to get the floor planks together. He could even jump on it without fear that the planks will slide away.

Gustave forgot all about that scholary type they had with them
and instead focused on clearing the campsite for more rocks and roots with great zeal.

[roll: 3]

Gustave in the meanwhile managed to clear some more roots and stones toward 'southern' part of the campsite.

Continue on journey!

Suddenly, when the sky began to get orange from late hour, the group of migrants could see someone approaching their field. A man, looking slightly tired and dirty, with a chisel sticking out of the pocket of his pants.

A lone migrant, it seems.

Skolt joined the migrant's campsite.

The clouds on the sky have partially dispersed by now and occassionaly, the sun can be clearly seen up there.

Those will be our currency, until we can smelt worthy goods.

"Vittori, would you please tell an old lady, where the next good shipment will be?"

"So, seeing as im the person kind of trying to feed us, does anyone know how much food we actually have?"

Ask if anyone has kept a track of our edibles. If they havent, do a stock take. If they have, stockpile it sensibly near the not yet finished cellar, then go find a nice clean water source.

Start to carry the planks to the encampment.

It was quite tiresome for Vittori to carry the planks alone. He got half of them there.

Retake stock of our goods, then continue to build the house.

Given that things were moving back and forth at the moment, Sieghart spent much more time on counting than anything else.

Code: [Select]
-one wooden wagon

-two chestnut mares tethered to wagon

'Stockpile' near fireplace
-one barrel of dried meat
-one barrel of dried meat, almost full
-four bottles of cheap beer
-wooden utensils (six bowls, spoons, forks)
-six bedrolls, three inside fern shelters
-large iron pot
-four torches
-two firestones (in the bonfire)
-wooden bow
-quiver with 15 copper-tipped arrows
-leather-bound paper sheets
-jug with several writing charcoals
-pile of stones
-12 wooden planks

forest outskirts:
-one simple, small animal cage trap
-12 wooden planks

construction site of a wooden house:
-Iron hammer
-Box of nails (~80)

Migrants:
-Vittori: Iron axe
-Karel: Iron shovel, bag of healing herbs, bag of assorted mushrooms and blackberries
-Skolt: Iron chisel, piece of quartz

Ask if anyone has kept a track of our edibles. If they havent, do a stock take. If they have, stockpile it sensibly near the not yet finished cellar, then go find a nice clean water source.

Sieghart just did, and then Karel moved the barrels of meat and bottles of beer closer to the 'cellar', and left her bags there as well.

As far as her eyes could see, there was no clean water source near the camp.

Take Harald
Continue on house

[roll: 2, +1 team, +1 skill]

The duo tried to make a wall, and succeeded partially. Thanks to Harald's knowledge, they managed to use up all the planks that Vittori brought to camp, just to make southern wall of the house. Not to mention more than twenty nails were used up in this. The box was almost half empty by now.

Gustave felt hunger creeping up on him
and decides to help getting food done.

[roll: 4]

Gustave managed to get some meat and roast it in the fireplace, and then placed the strips in three bowls.

start building toys, whether herald assists or not

[roll: 1] (uh oh)

Lorbam began making toys. She carved out few non-descript figurines, and when in process of making naother, her hand slipped with the knife and she stabbed herself in the left hand. Blood and pain was all that she could think about now!

Few clouds remain on the orange sky as the sun ventures slowly toward the horizon. It is now late afternoon.

As gustave wolfs down one of the roasted meats, he notices the clouds.
"We should probably have something ready to collect the water in case of rain.."
He then proceeds to move some of the smoked meat to the wooden box,
so that the empty barrel can be used to collect water.
