Gustave decides to build more leafy shelters, so that everyone can have a good nights sleep.
Or at least those who dosn't stay up keeping watch.

Make more shelters.

[roll:1, +1 team]

After Sieghart came back to the camp, he began helping Gustave with the shelters.

However, they couldn't get it right. The braches were either too short or not straight enough. And tying ferns to top branch wasn't as easy as before.

When they actually managed to make one shelter, the whole construction tipped forward and collapsed into pile of branches and fern leaves.

Lorbam waits until late afternoon then gets back to the camp, whether she catches something or not

And she waits!

So far, nothing.

Test the mushrooms on the horses (one type to one horse, one to the other) to see just how deadly they are. Then, proceed to turn the berries into wine in the time honoured fashion of squasing them and letting them ferment in a handy barrel.

The horses at the camp weren't that happy to eat the mushrooms but they ate some. Nothing happened.

Making wine would be good idea if only there was any container to squash them in, or at least, an empty barrel.

Start to cut the tree in planks and drag them to the encampment.
Help cut the wood and tell Vitori about the Elves

[roll: 3, +1 team, +1 skill, -1 tool]

After Harald got to Vittori, he helped him with cutting the wood into planks. It was hard job, given lack of proper saw, but thanks to Harald's knowledge they made twenty long, sturdy looking, almost flat planks. With some more better tool, they would be able to squeeze out one, or few more planks.

And then Harald remembered something: he told the cook about the elves.

Meanwhile:

Skolt began scavenging the battlefield for things.

Afer all that time he spent there, all that he found was rotten, rusted or broken equipment. All valuables and personal affects of the soldiers were possibly taken away long time ago, freshly after the battle.

Then, there was this strange, cold breeze, and Skolt could swear he heard some grumbling and hissing being carried by the wind, straight into his ears.

The sky is now completely devoid of clouds.

"I think the elves won't mind us if we don't mess with them. We should just avoid trouble for now, but if they approach the encampment, I'll try to talk to them."

Take the planks to the camp.

Gustave gives up the idea of building shelters until they get better materials.
Instead, he decides to help around the camp wherever needed.

"A rusty axe is better than no axe!"
Skolt picks one up and tries to get off the field as soon as possible. Something's not just right about it.

Lorbam dozes a bit.

In and out of sleepiness, she wanders toward the general camp direction for a bit of food and distractions.

Lorbam returns for a quick bite, leaving the animals to get used to the new item in the forest; on the camp, she can probably help in setting up a workbench or something

As for Karel, she decided to idle for a while and rest.

Take the planks to the camp.
Help take the planks to the camp

Vittori, with Harald's help, managed to get all the planks the cook made into the camp, putting them in a pile near the wagon.

[roll: 2, +1 team]

After Lorbam had a nibble of the salted food, together, the three migrants managed to assemble a crude, uneven workbench in less than an hour. Two planks and several nails were used for this.

Skolt picks one up and tries to get off the field as soon as possible. Something's not just right about it.

Skolt grabs the rusty axe. He can still see some dried blood on the edge, mixed with rust, but the handle is fortunately still intact, not really eaten away by the rot.

Then, as he was making his way toward the road, he felt tired and weaker with each step.

When he got to the road, he was basically crawling with a speed of overly excited turtle. The whispers and hissing weren't carried by the wind anymore - they were going on straight in his head.

He could also hear some horses, and someone talking, and then he heard 'Hey, lad, are you allright?', but his eyes and ears also felt weak and he couldn't be sure if he isn't just imaginating things.

The sun is high in the sky, almost at zenith. Grey clouds linger at the eastern sky and seemingly are going toward the fields. It is late morning.

//Guys, please refrain yourselves from 'helping around the camp' unless really needed, soon all of you will be 'helping' and what I'm supposed to do then? :P

Lorbam starts evening out the planks from the fallen trees, putting dovetails on ends

Lorbam mutters between herself: this should help those unvaliant builders in the next few days

The leftovers should make nice splints and fixes to tie planks
