Maybe I'll just sit this one out until I find some companions...

Boy, the difficulty really jumped with this new quest! My last one was a bandit leader and two followers. This one was a leader and sixteen followers (I'd already killed three stragglers earlier). I really wasn't sure I'd get out alive, especially when the lasher knocked me down in the middle, with three or four of her friends running up to help...

But hey, I got a new set of full-iron armor and doubled notable kill count out of the deal, so who's complaining?

So... I figured out why the huge jump in difficulty: I got my dungeons and catacombs mixed up, and ended up tackling a much harder foe than the one I was assigned. Later I went back to the "correct" dungeon and there was a pussy outlaw with three henchmen inside. On the plus side, though, it gave me hero status or whatever it takes to get quests from nobles.
