So, they made a chain shirt, with a picture of my chain shirt on it?

Okay then.

Also, they aren't archers. They have no shooting ability whatsoever. only send out the walled chains to meet any serious threat.

They carry crossbows and bolts, so they ARE archers. Do against kea men quite well, btw.

One of kea men desided to batter the rabbit at the pasture. Next to barracks where squads were sparring. Obviously, kea men suck at tactics

3rd Felsite
Maoyr mandated making of 2 wheelbarrows. On first thought - fuck off, you bastard. On second.. well, can be quite useful, when we start moving metal production down there. Ok, you'll get your barrows when I have time.

9th Felsite
Urvad the armorer, creator of Sacat Anur, dodged the basalt spit of magma crab, and fell into magma pool. Shit.

25th Felsite
Guess what?
An ambush! Curse the friends of nature!
A squad of spearelves is moving through trap coridor. Lets your fighter meet them at the entrance hall...

26th Felsite
Our fighters are too furious to wait for those bastards cross the bridge, so they just ran and trampled the ambushers. The last elf was shot near the river turn, running in fear, and was stabbed in the head with spear.
Our casualties - 0
their casualties - 5 caged elves, 1 caged giant coyote, 11 elven corpses.
I ordered to butcher the donkey as a thankful sacrifice. Also, we need a temple of Blood, to arrange proper sacrifices.
Need to think what to do with captives...

9th Hematite
Summer is arrived, by the way. We found the last cavern while digging delivery shute for ores, nothing really interesting there.
Magma crab ocassionally spits at dwarves building floors over the magma. It's annoying.

Inod, great-skilled miner got fey mood and locked at mason's workshop.

Cassiterite-delivery track was built. Working on tetrahedrite mines.

Nothing really happens here. Still thinking of what to do with elves.

Human traders came. Somehow they wagons could not get into our depot, why? Will order to pave the road with something precious, like golden blocks.

Inod made millstone named Weepbarb, with images of appointment of outpost liaison, of spider monkeys (what the fuck it that?) and a dragon killing human warrior. Worth 26400 dorfbucks.

Finally made the tetrahedrite track way. we're ready to drop both components of bronze to forges. We have the single anvil, this is the bottleneck to plans of outfitting whole fortress in bronze.

Elk birds are scaring away weavers who collecting spider silk. Sometimes they run, sometimes they shoot a bolt in it.

Bronze isn't that bad at all. But yes, we should import iron ore and bars for steel production. We have flux in abundance.

But hey, where's the ideas of utilizing those elves?
I have three:
1) Drop them to delivery shute. It's over hundred zlevels and lands next to magma smelter. I think the limb explosion should be hilarious!
2) Feed them to their Giant Coyote who's been convinced to our side by ont of trainers. It's semi-wild now, i think it's enough.
3) Build the temple of Blood, and sacrifice them there. But for awesomeness we'd need two more elves - 7 is a magic number of Armok! Though, we could use some Urists....

Page 4
22nd Galena
Traders bring theves. Three skulking kobolds were met neat the entrance, and punished. I mostly enjoyed the last one - who was lashed with whip by caravan guard and kobold's teeth exploded everywhere!

We traded with merchants for all their load of wood, leather, booze, exotic metals (like pewters, in case of mandate) and - hooray! - three iron anvils! All that we sold was - seven large encrusted gems of various quality. I ordered to make 30 gold goblets for dwarven caravan

9th Limestone
A hunter, who was appointed to cut the population of wild cavern animals discovered another magma pool. Nice place for Temple Of Blood, I must say...

I think the worth of iron in this place is the equivalent of platinium :P

I think we should make a temple, and have like amazing statues of near masterwork covered in blood, and blood covering the entire place! 8)

When fellow dwarven merchants come, I will order a whole load of iron ore and bars.

So, the Temple should have:
- Statues, covered with blood. Made of metal. For now we have gold, silver, lead, nickel, tin and copper.
- Elven corpses impaled on spikes
- Magma moat around it
- Coyote chained in the Arena where next elves will be dropped.
- Serrated discs maybe? for those who escaped the Coyote.
