Sometimes in my dreams, I tend to pull out my lower teeth with my bare hands.
And I always check them whenever I wake up, just to see if they are still there.
The weird part is that it's never the upper row of teeth that it happens to.

I've looked through the thread and found out that there are quite a lot of lucid dreamers here. That's weird, I thought it was some very rare and exceptional phenomena.

Its very common once you learn how to do it.
Mainly focus on dream recall and signs.

I dunno i just do it. Dont overdo it, thats the secret. Just let it come to you.
I have heard really awesome people can control it later. Just start easy and build up.

I can controll some some of my dreams to a certain extent.
However they easily spin into weirdness territory and often becomes blurry, thus making me wake up.

That really requires some concentration. Its weird, for me its like poking around in the darkness with my mind if you get what i mean. Probing for what stabilises its weird.
Like turning on nonexistantial dials.

I dreamt of riding a giant flightless bird yesterday. Attacking cyclists with my avian steed.

It was glorious.

Still, not full control. I was hoping for velociraptors. It's a start though.

I had a strange dream last night.

Basically, I was some sort of squid or alien or something, and I was at the bottom of the ocean, in a shipwreck of some sort. I remember going through the small wreck, doing some sort of maintenance or something. Then, A sound came from outside. Humans. They found the wreck, and quickly set up a research outpost inside the cave the Shipwreck was somehow located. Cue them attempting to break through the damaged hull of the ship. Nothing. Except, after a while, one is able to open it up a bit. I observe the human, slinking through the watery tubes of the ship. The others continue inspections, and I slowly do... something, not quite sure what, but one dies. They seem worried, and wish to leave, so I block the cave entrance off. They are trapped there, with just one rifle. It would take them a week to get the entrance unblocked. And it continues with them still investigating and stuff, until... they enter the cortex of the ship. This simply would not do, so I speed up the process of killing them off. 2 die, and the one with the rifle is about to either shoot and kill me, or I kill him. Not sure, because that's where it ends, and I wake up.

EDIT: I just realized that it sorta resembles Sphere, by Michael Crichton. And now I am also tempted to make a Fort in the Postapocalypse loosely based on it and this dream now.

Controlling own dreams (to an extent) sounds awesome. Having to deal with sleep paralysis along with nightmarish hallucinations from time to time kinda nullifies the awesomeness.

Still, I'll try to log whatever the hell I see in my dreams.

I read that generally the way to lucid dream stems from first realizing you're in a dream and can do whatever you want. A lot of references suggested mental exercises such thinking to yourself multiple times a day "Am I dreaming? If I were dreaming, what would I do?" to the point it becomes almost an unconscious action, so much so that your mind performs this action subconsciously in a dream.

I haven't really done any lucid dreaming. I was interested in it, but I stopped trying after a while. All these posts make me reconsider.

I do seem to recall dreams better than other people I know, at least according to their comments.
---------------
As for recent dreams, last night there was this fuzzy sorta dream I seemed know was set at school. The details aren't as clear as some other dreams, I was more focusing on the fact that I was making friendly conversation with an incredibly beautiful and intelligent girl from school...who also happened to be wearing only a two-piece bikini. Dream logic obviously made this seem perfectly normal.

Oddly enough there was no real moment in the dream where it got...y'know...sexaytiems or anything like that. Not even the slightest thought of sexual desire, only multiple conscious impressions that she is perfect in every way and wearing a bikini. It was like how someone would admire a piece of art for it's beauty and not solely because he wanted to bang it.

I woke up feeling very happy and satisfied with both myself and life in general. It was a very refreshing change of pace from the usual.

Huh. The only time I've come close to lucid dreaming myself is by stoppng sexyteims from happening in my dreams. They'll be about to commence and then I'll realize what's happening, and: 'Nope. *reality warp* *no longer in sexual circumstances*'

THE WORLD JUST ENDED.

It was a lot different than how I imagined it. For starters, we had a timer. We also would die because of the death of our souls, not because of the death of our world. So it was instant and painless. I was outside and there were a lot of people crying, running around and stuff. I just wanted to die in peace and quiet. I found an elevator (in the middle of a street) and got in. There were two other people, dressed up like soldiers, who probably wanted to die in peace like me. On the wall, there was an electronic timer that showed us how many seconds were left until the end of the world. The elevator was peaceful, maybe too peaceful. Probably the other guys felt this too so we broke the horrifying silence. We made a little dramatic chit-chat about something I don't remember and we all died peacefully. The fact that I KNEW (somehow) that there was only nothingness in death didn't make it easier. Oh man, even in a dream, those last 10 seconds lasted a lifetime. That fear was nothing like any other nightmare I have seen.

After I died... Bang! I'm in the 17. century. WTF happened? End of the world + Time travel + Reincarnation = My dream. It doesn't end here. It appears I had a total of 3 different lifes with my soul, which appears to be still 'alive'. I learn this after my third death. When I start my fourth life (as a grown up man), I see a soldier (probably the one from the elevator) who wants me to deliver a letter to someone. Too bad I can't remember the rest.

Huh. The only time I've come close to lucid dreaming myself is by stoppng sexyteims from happening in my dreams. They'll be about to commence and then I'll realize what's happening, and: 'Nope. *reality warp* *no longer in sexual circumstances*'
BAH! Some people learn lucid dreaming just to do the opposite of that!

I dreamed that someone made a list of the biggest pricks on b12, and i was 9th.
I can also remember nearly posting "I don't know if i should be flattered or sad".
